There are any number of variations on this theme, but this concept underlies virtually every explanation they give (e.g. “flopping”).

Just today commented that his opponents are evil. So it seems this theme is a common one.

I see I left out an important word in my posting. (I fixed it in your quoting of me.) It shows that the tactic you accuse the liberals of is one of Trump’s tactics.
