The answer is more complex than you like to make it. I understand that all or nothing thinking is easier for people to handle.
It is Catholic teaching that you can not support a pro-abortion candidate. Period. So I guess it is all or nothing.😉

You should know better to get a straight answer Bubba.

With the rhetoric some people on the left throw around in this thread, you’d think people are dying in the streets en masse because they don’t have health insurance/proper health care.
Yup. While conveniently ignoring the millions of their fellow citizens who have been murdered through abortion.

Let’s look at the Obamacare fallout: winners and losers in the health sector.

Winner: Drugmakers, hospitals, insurers, and us (?).

Losers: Device makers (2.3 percent tax) and us and the economy (twenty new or higher taxes across the board are bad for economic growth, bad for job hiring, bad for investors, and bad for families).

Bottom line: Obamacare as is a GIFT to Big pharma & Big insurance. In other words, tax, spend, regulate, borrow. The Obama mantra.

Government run Universal Socialized Health Care (NHS), is the only way to operate the health care of a country in today’s modern World. That is either totally Government run Single payer as in UK, Israel, etc. or Government regulated as in Germany, Canada, etc.

And here is the ABSOLUTE proof WHY: in countries that have NHS, which is all European countries, Canada, Israel, Japan, in fact all developed Nations, it is taking on average 9% of GDP to give health care to ALL the people of the country, while in USA with 50Mill+ without have health care, 2Mill+ going bankrupt each year due to health care costs, at least 50,000+ KILLED each year due to being denied health care due to “pre-existing condition” clause, etc. catastrophe health care is taking a deficit BUSTING 18% of GDP!

The Supreme Court Ruling on Health Care is a victory for the people. It will be a stepping stone in attaining Universal Health Care.
Interesting to see you cheering on slavery of your fellow citizen to the federal government.

Suffering as long as they are not dying. You two should become best friends.👍

I just saw a video of Romney in 2006 speaking in favor of mandates as important for driving health care costs down. Now he’s opposed to them. Similarly, Obama argued against government-mandated health care coverage in the 2008 primary debates with Hillary Clinton, who supported it. Both these men are either two-faced flip-floppers, “evolvers,” or simply politicians who will say virtually anything to get elected (or re-elected). I would choose all of the above and place no great trust in either one.
Abortion.

Last I checked, the USA isn’t a 3rd world back water.

I have read some sources that posit that the largest jump in life expectancy happend when the west got clean food/water/sewage along with vaccinations.

Feeling depressed. We don’t qualify for the free coverage because my husband makes $4000 over the cut-off. I just looked up what insurance would cost us. $350 a month plus a $10,000 deductible and we have to pay for all office visits. 😦 It would be cheaper to pay the $4000 fine at the end of the year.

How exactly is this new law supposed to help us?

Exactly. The life expectancy in 1900 (IIRC) was about 50. After the above, it is upper 70’s.

Two words: It doesn’t

Racial abuse towards Justice Thomas on twitter from people who are angry he opposed ObamaTax is horrendous.

That is the irony. On the one hand, you have death by abortion in the millions. On the other hand, you have various claims of inconvenience, lack of charity, and expensive medical procedures. And some people are more concerned with the later than the former.

This is by design. It is part of the funding mechanism.

There is no true victory for ObamaCare unless Romney is not made President, because he will repeal it.
