We all understand how easy and convenient it is to place societies problems on religion, while at the same time, crediting the good aspects of religion to the benefit athiesm.Mostly, it is. The drive against gay marriage in this country has been led by religious organizations: Focus on the Family, the LDS, the AFA, etc.
Any non-believers among their midst are fellow travelers, or token saps adopted to give the anti-gay marriage movement a semblance of secularism that doesn’t exist.
The atheist character of foreign anti-gay sentiment is irrelevant to the essentially religious character of American anti-gay sentiment.
…Its easy and convenient to link religion to tradition too, while calling the athiest dream “progress”…
Its clear that the agenda at hand is simply to destroy religion and anything else that is destroyed along the way would be considered worth it by the progressives.
