You don’t owe your friend your child. That would be ridiculous. You could refuse her even if she asked you to borrow your car - how is she entitled to your offspring? I’m sure she knows this and will not be offended.
That’s all you need to say, I don’t want to be a dad, problem solved no risk to friendship.I most likely got this whole situation confused or twisted up somehow when brainstorming the whole scenario. I’m just totally confused about this thing. This whole thing is literally the 1st time a female friend of mine came up to me and was like “i want a kid but i’m with another lady, would you like to help?” type situation. I know the church is against things like surrogacy parents and other things that would violate the 6th commandment. I guess what I’m trying to figure out is how to I resolve the situation with my friend. I mean if I loose her as a friend then so be it but what would be the most appropriate action to take when discussing the matter. I for one don’t want kids and I certainly don’t want to get into something I’m gonna regret in the future.
This is entirely obvious. I don’t see how she can have a problem with it. I know people hold grudges for absurd reasons, but I’ve never heard of someone thinking they were entitled to have some relative or acquaintance “help them out” in this way.She should be able to understand “I don’t want to father a child I will not be raising.”
I’d just say “No, I’m not interested.”
You don’t owe her an explanation- “no” is a sentence.![]()

Just explain to her that being a sperm donor would mean you would be the father of that child. Obviously, she is not making this connection because she and her lover would be the parents. Sperm-man-father link is obviously not clear to her.I I guess what I’m trying to figure out is how to I resolve the situation with my friend. This is the problem. People treat children as a commodity, something they deserve and something they own. This sick attitude is not only found with homosexual couples who feel entitled to children, and couples using IVF because they can’t conceive. This view of children has spread like the plague into all sections of society.Children are not a commodity which you can give to her, they are a blessing by God to be conceived in a real marriage

This is a Catholic forum, please! If she wants to be impregnated that badly, I am sure she could hang around a bar a few nights and there would be more than a couple guys willing to give it a shot.
