No possible way he was just a normal guy driving home who then felt threatened and fired his weapon in at least perceived self defense

So I have to ask since in the other thread you said prisons are bad, what would you want done with this person assuming a guilty verdict?

Come on, you know there are double standards. Those that exist for them and the ones for everyone who doesn’t bow down to their extremist views and praise their god of progressive liberalism.

I don’t have a dog in the fight, save for preferring the truth, but you do realize you were trumpeting the police report earlier, but if the possibility exists the police say something you don’t care for, you accuse them of running interference for right wing terrorists.

Restorative justice.
Yes. All those right wing terrorists in Portland and Seattle having interference run for them by the police.
Sounds like you’re a local! You must have seen police interacting with the white supremacist militia types that are always around here.

Police generally have to report undeniable facts. This shooting was witnessed by dozens if not hundreds of people, so the police can’t lie about the killer shooting first because they’d get massacred in court. What they can do is try the case in the court of public opinion, doing things like in today’s briefing where the police chief included unverifiable eyewitness testimony that would justify the killer’s actions (leaning very heavily on words like “may have” while laundering the killer’s story) but didn’t include any of the overwhelming amount of eyewitness testimony that indicates otherwise.

I lived in Texas for 25 years. I’m aware of them. I’m also aware of the fact that Austin has a much larger leftist movement and that is reflected in its local government.

Here’s foster approaching the vehicle with his rifle held at low ready, still not clear if he ever directly pointed the rifle at the driver, but being at low ready is enough to warrant treating him as a threat.

“During the initial investigation of this incident, it appears that Mr. Foster may have pointed his weapon at the driver of this vehicle prior to being shot,” Manley said in a Zoom press conference Sunday.

“Mr. Foster — who was holding an AK-47-type assault rifle — approached the driver’s side window as others in the crowd began striking the vehicle,” Manley said of witness statements.

What is weird is that the shooter has not been identified nor his race. Usually if a white guy is involved, the press is all over that like a cheap suit.

Surprising no one with two functioning neurons, the shooter has been identified as Daniel Perry, a right winger who posted violent threats towards BLM protesters online.

Link? I saw the man was a veteran working for a ride share company. Saw nothing about threats

Not really a threat. Telling though that you saw “anarchists, agitators, looters, and lowlifes” and immediately thought about BLM and their burning, looting, and murdering.

Didn’t read like a threat to me, just macho BS online.

I expect him to not be charged with anything.
