it doesn’t surprise me that people who do not go to Mass regularly are unaware of the Mass changes. if regular Mass goers say they are unaware then there is a problem somewhere. we began talking about it as early as the end of last year and for the past several months the priest has been going over some of the changes and there has also been an insert in the bulletin.
i am looking forward to the changes.
I could have posted the above myself. We too have been hearing about this for quite some time and have had inserts in the bulletin several times too, as well as info printed in the bulletin.

At my parents’ parish, they have already changed “And also with you” to “And with your spirit” and that has been the response now for several months. I have been taking my Mom to Mass for several weeks now since my Dad is in rehab, and I still stumble and get the response wrong most times. :o

I don’t know if it’s a matter of regular Church attendance. Anyone who has studied Latin and various Anglophone translations since Henry VIII would probably be bored with still another English translation of the Latin Mass. I know I am. Of course not every one has studied such history but I think by this time next year no one will be that excited after the novelty wears off.
