What nonsense are you saying?

Syro-Malabar is of the East Syriac -Chaldean Tradition.
Malankara Orthodox, Malankara Catholic, and Jacobite are West Syriac.

Marthoma is West Syriac blended with Anglican theology.
this is the correct history.

and do you know the meaning of malayalam word puthan as in puthankoottar? it means “new.”

Ohhhh that was very uncalled for all the apostles fled after Jesus was captured. If I have not read the Bible wrong only 1 apostle was at the foot of the cross when our Lord died and it was not Thomas.

They all recognized their failings each and every one of them for all were humans with all that entails.

Please meditate on this no Apostle was higher or lower than any other. đź‘Ť
luke 23
35 And the people stood beholding.
49 But all** his acquaintances**, including the women who had followed him from Galilee, stood at a distance, watching these things.
But the greatest among you shall be your servant, mat 23 11
all apostles had their own weaknesses.

All comes under pope of rome… We are in union with Roman Catholic Church. Both are different traditions.

As Apostle St Thomas experienced ressurected jesus ,theologies of churches which holds tradition from St Thomas is mainly focus on Ressurected Jesus. Latin rite is mainly focused on crucified Jesus ( what Apostle Peter experienced).

"Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here and see my hands; stretch out your hand and put it into my side. Resist no longer and be a believer.Thomas then said, "You are my Lord and my God.Jesus replied, “You believe because you see me, don’t you? Happy are those who have not seen and believe.” John 20:27-30…

Peter was a coward. He denied Christ three times before his crucifixion. After death of christ , once he decided to go back to do his old job (fishing). But Apostle Thomas was a brave man. When other disciples opposed him not to go to Judea, Apostle Thomas was the only disciple bravely told "“Let us also go that we may die with him.” (John: 11:16)
I would like to think I would have been more courageous than St. Peter, but I have doubts I would have been, I pray I will never be put to the test. St. Thomas also fled when Jesus was arrested, so don’t condemn St. Peter for being human.

Look to those today being killed in the name of Jesus, are any of us more than St. Peter? This is a great topic to mediate. St. Peter and St. Thomas were both great Saints of the Church, take strength in there faith.

It is wrong to say that St.Peter was coward, remember that he and John alone is mentioned during passion of Christ. Our Great St.Thoma is mentioned much later. he is called as Doubting Thomas because he asked for proof of resurrection unlike other Apostles. this is the actual reason he mostly preached about risen christ.

But, my own country holds many Stone Crosses carved by Saint thomas such as the one in Little Mount and St.Thomas Mount in Chennai, Tamilnadu.

Every saint in a way or the other went back to their profession apart from preaching, St.Peter did fishing, Paul did many odd jobs and Saint Thomas was a Carpenter. As you claim to be from Syro-Malabar family of catholic church, read about your church’s history. your history will tell that St.Thomas initially Came as a Carpenter to build a palace for a malayali king.

As someone still in union with the Apostolic Catholic church, you cannot speak so low about the first Pope of the Latin Church, St.Peter.

lastly, before commenting on Apostle, you need to know the history of church. the church and its tradition is not confined in 5000 odd pages of holy bible, like what many unclear protestants claim. we got our belief from Lord GOD himself not from Martin Luther. our sister churches has lived in harmony within themselves since the time of Apostles.

As I complete this Post, I would Like to wish all A BLESSED FEAST OF MARTYRDOM OF APOSTLE SAINT THOMAS, PATRON OF INDIA
