Police in Honduras caught five Syrians who were trying to make their way to the United States with stolen and doctored passports, a law enforcement spokesman for the Central American country said Wednesday.
Police spokesman Anibal Baca told the Associated Press the men were detained on Tuesday at the Tegucigalpa International Airport on an alert from Interpol about the passports.
He said the international organization followed the group from Syria, to Lebanon and Turkey, then on to Brazil, Argentina, Costa Rica and Honduras.

It’s not cheap to fly from country to country. I couldn’t do it.

Okay - these loaded, almost entirely hate-filled threads are getting out of hand now, and inevitably are resulting in the “discussion” of the same topic.

Perhaps a moderator should create a unified thread? One for discussion Syrian Refugees, and one for discussing the effects of the Paris attacks.

Am I missing something? Why is this hate filled? You can report on what is happening in regards to refugees or faking passports without it being a hateful discussion in regards to refugees overall.

Almost entirely hate filled threads ? Let’s see the evidence please.

this is definitely news? but why do you define it as hatefilled? what is hateful about it?

Drudge has a red letter alert up, 8 Syrians caught at the border at Laredo, Texas.

   Erm, was this thread moved from another one? I don’t understand where the “hate-filled” posts are?

I’m glad they caught these people.

We do have the right to protect our country…I just wish our president would listen and secire our borders better. The police in other countries won’t be able to catch everyone.

Any time we begin accepting large numbers of refugees, it leads to nothing but trouble.

For example, when Cubans began settling in Florida after Castro took power, they brought a large amount of chaos with them; including a campaign of terrorism. For example, see Cubana de Aviación Flight 455, where they blew a plane full of civilians out of the sky.

So we must remain vigilant.

Reporting this morning is that the five caught in Honduras have not been linked to any terrorist organization. It was also claimed that Interpol has been tracking them all the way, and that the decision was made to arrest them when they made it as far as Honduras. Apparently their plan was to go overland from there to the U.S.

The link below combines two stories and includes part of the information above.

It’s the new rallying cry of the left… whenever you don’t agree with them it’s “HATE!!”

It will only be a short matter of time until the northern border is as closely watched as the southern border.

I’m speaking of the influx of refugees due to arrive soon in Canada and the terrorist events which are going to follow, whether real or contrived.

This story could have it’s own thread but too many stories seemingly on the same topic can appear so I will put this here:
A leader of New York City’s Syrian community told The Post on Wednesday that ISIS terrorists have “absolutely” sneaked into America by posing as civil-war refugees — and joined sleeper cells just waiting to be activated.
“I believe the terrorists from Syria have been coming into the United States, not only in the past few years, but way before that,” said Aarafat “Ralph” Succar of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, home of the city’s largest enclave of Syrian immigrants. “I think they’re already at work.”
Succar, a member of the Bay Ridge Community Council, said corruption in his homeland is so rampant that anyone could easily pay bribes and obtain official identification papers bearing a fake name to disguise their real identity.
“You can go to the Syrian government today and say to them, ‘I need a piece of paper that says I’m Tony Caterpillar.’ And they give it to you,” he said.
“These are not forged documents. These are written out by a government employee who needs money, whose family has no food.”
Succar, 57, who immigrated to the United States when he was 10, also noted that “Third World countries, particularly places like Syria, do not have the network of information the United States has.”
