Do you have a son or daughter, or even a spouse who is about to deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan and you’re riddled with questions on how and what to do? Well where better to get that information, than from someone who’s been there, and done that.

Some of you may already know her, but if you’re new here let me direct you to a [Soldier’s Mom](http://somesoldier(name removed by moderator).blogspot.com/2005/12/so-your-child-is-being-deployed.html).

**She nailed everything right on the head! **

If you haven’t read Soldier’s Mom’s blog yet, do so! Great advice - so much so I was laughing as I read it -

… soldiers in some areas my get the Armed Forces Network (AFN) with “real” shows, but there are no commercials. I remember quite a few years having Commerical Parties about a week after the Super Bowl as friends/relatives taped them and mailed the “Best of the Best” to us.

… no news is good news!

… mom’s will cry (my only thing to say to that, though, is not to make the spouse feel depressed by saying “What are you going to do alone with all those kids?!” - LOL - Like we have a choice in the matter! You do what you gotta do!)
