The AP reports:

Colorado gubernatorial candidate Tom Tancredo says President Barack Obama is a bigger threat to the United States than al-Qaida or terrorism…Tancredo said that Obama posed a threat to the Constitution, saying: “It’s not al-Qaida, it’s the guy sitting in the White House.”
I guess there is no doubt where he stands on the issue. Now the important thing is if most voters in Colorado agree with him or not…

I agree, but as you say it up to the Coloradans…

i hope tancredo wins. he has a lot of courage. and i think he is right.

He might win. I don’t think he has courage though, he just has a big ego, and he’s an ideologue and was almost going to be a spoiler in that race. I don’t really like Tancredo from what I’ve seen of him so far. The democrat though needs to lose, otherwise Colorado will be in trouble.

The article headline is sensational because Tancredo talks about the Constitution being threatened by Obama.
He is right in this case, though it’s not wise to say it since it gives so much fodder.
There are wiser ways to say it without invoking Al-Qaida. This country is more threatened by Obama’s agenda, because it’s more insidious and gets past most of the public because its internal and takes advantage of people’s ignorance of our constitutional principles.

I think this should be the correct response to this.

It looks like he’s bringing our Country down, single-handedly…

but there’s a whole network behind him, and those he has put in place.

He was formed and groomed for the position.
Anyone who has to read from a teleprompter isn’t all that bright.

Tis true. Obama is a bigger threat than al-Qaida.

God Bless you.

👍 We need more people in government who are willing to speak the truth.

My DH was in Florida recently and made a side trip to Miami. He said the exact same thing about it:
“Like the time he called Miami a “Third World country.” Or when he got thrown out of the White House for suggesting then-President George W. Bush was soft on illegal immigration.”

He was also right on this second count. Bush was too soft on immigration and we’re reaping the harvest of this right now with too many illegals in our country.

At least he can read; unlike his predecessor before him who couldn’t read, much less speak a complete sentence of english properlly.

That was not True. One cannot get to the position that he achieved without having some GENUINE skills. You don’t get to be Governor AND manager of a Football Teamand ultimately be President without having some acumen.I don’t care how much George Senior influenced his Yale career.

The “english” part may have had something to do with the fact that Dubya may have had some sort of unacknowledged dyslexia. It is clear Dubya had SOME sort of condition affecting his speech. So it is NOT because he was “illiterate.”👍

I thought he was owner of the Texas Rangers at one point; not a manager of a football team?

Agreed, but Tancredo was expressing his opinion - not truth.
Truth is always subjective; except for God’s Truth which is the only truth.

I wonder what the reaction would have been in 1941 had some conservative politician said that President Roosevelt was a greater threat to America than the Axis. Or in 1915 if someone had said that President Wilson was a greater threat to America than the “Hun”. Or in 1812 if someone had said that President Madison was a greater threat to America than the Redcoats.

Is it okay to be patently disloyal now? Do members of the opposition no longer embrace the idea of “loyal opposition” to the president in office? Do we no longer owe our head of state any measure of respect at all?

I once knew a better America. And I’m not that old.

It is neither true, nor charitable.
Thank you. It’s a q well known fact (not so well known to some, apparently) that Bush is an avid reader. He has been personally mocked with falsehoods, that are still being perpetuated today. It’s amazing how many people get their news from SNL or Michael Moore. In real life, the book was not upside down.😦
