Well, your opinion is rather uncharitable. It is one thing to say someone is in error, but to say that many bishops in priests don’t believe (you didn’t say in what, so I will assume) in God and the teachings of Jesus Christ is flat out wrong (and against forum rules).
Don’t take me there. I did not say they don’t beleive in God. They don’t beleive, IMO, in the God/faith as preached by the historic Catholic church.

I don’t see how you can’t see that. Do you live in LA, the Bay Area, Boston, NYC. Go to a random parish of your choice. See what is being preached. Ask the pastor questions. Like does he belive in the real presence. In a parish here the pastor does not but is open and affirms those who do?! Like what is that about?
I bet he loves the “open” communion" at the Pope’s Masses.

Maybe you live in a rural area or in one of the few small dioceses like Lincoln where there is a bishop who beleives in what you do. But go to other doiceses and ask - go to their websites.

There is no unity in the Catholic church so how can the high priestly prayer of Jesus that they be one in any way be identified with the Catholic church?

This is hard stuff. You have to die to self. But you need to pray. The Catholic church may not have the truth you assume.

Prasy on this. Tell the Lord about your qualms. Be they the Papal masses in the US or whatever. I found an answer in prayer. Everyone will be lead in sincere prayer by the Lord.

And let’s be honest. Even the orthodox EWTN teaches through Pacwa, Madrid, Martinoni - that if you don’t honestly believe in your heart that the Catholic church is true but believe maybe in pentecostalism or Islam or Hinduism. Well as long as the moral law of God as written on your heart is followed then, despite your faith, as long as you do good based on that law, you can have salvation.

Not that you will be, but that sal;vation can be found in any religion based on conformance to moral law. One EWTN host mentioned that a while back. I think it was father R.? Can’t recall his full name. But Madrid, Pacwa and Marinoni are basically saying the same thing. Listen to them if you doubt me. Its like this question comes up every other week or so on their shows.

I do pray, and I will definitely pray for you.

I will pray for you too. You seem to be asking questions. Searching. That is good. You seem to sense that something may not be exactly right as presented by what you have been taught and beleived in.

Don’t be afraid to step out in faith. I did and am more fulfilled, calm and assured, as one can be, in God’s love.

As I said, I will pray the Lord leads you to the Truth.

God bless.

The Catholic Church holds the fullness of the Truth…“to whom shall we go?” The vast majority of bishops, priests and the Holy Father believe and teach the Real Presence. There is no reason for my faith to be shaken in the way yours has because of a few who don’t. My search ended in 1990.

Catholic support for illegal immigration in the US is all about salvaging a collapsing church. .
Why would it matter to the Church, which is Universal, whether a Catholic is living in the US, Mexico, Uganda, or Rome? It’s all the same, a Catholic is Catholic wherever they are.

Tancredo knows this and so does the media. So the REAL issue with Tancredo and the Anti-Immigration crowd is that there are more Catholics in the US. They don’t want more CATHOLICS in the US. It’s the old argument of the Know Nothing Party, and the WASP’s resurfacing.

There’s really no need to look for a conspiracy theory in the Church. It’s really quite simple. The reason why the Church defends the rights and humane treatment of all, including immigrants, is because that’s what the Church does, she proclaims the Gospel and Christ’s command to love one another.
