I say the Our Father and the Hail Mary every day. Other than that I speak from my heart. I thank God for His blessings and spill my guts. Every night my 11 and 8 year old and I pray the Our Father together. They know it in Latin and English. I also teach them about the Blessed Mother and they have a devotion to her. Other than that, I also have made up my own prayers for protection and deliverance. If you want me to share those I can do so.

Particularly, I usually pray this protection prayer that I mixed from other prayers I have seen and ideas which come from my experiences with darkness:

“I break every curse, hex, spell and ritual sent against me and my family (I name them). Heavenly Father, I ask that our guardian angels will protect our minds, bodies and spirits while we sleep. May they surround us with love and light and chase away any nightmares.”

how bout changing this part to Jesus Christ, please break…

if you think it is you doing the casting away of the curses, hexes and spell’s then you might be in more danger than you realize. i was worried when earlier you wrote about how you felt that many of the demons were “stupid”. i now suspect that it is they that have tricked you. angels (Holy and demonic) have incredible intellect. your rebellious streak could be pride.

the next time you are called to help someone with a problem of this nature, please ask a Catholic priest to go with you.

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle;
be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray:
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
cast (thrust) into hell Satan and all (other) evil spirits
who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Or if you prefer latin:

Priests have it given to them and I’ve had it given to me. I don’t have any power in and of myself. It is God’s power, God’s gift. I am merely a tool.

I have a spiritual director who has more experience than I have been alive in this field. Not only that, I have read works by Catholic and non-Catholics. And then of course there’s the practical training.

There are classes of demons, Jen. The foot soldiers have limited capabilities and intellect. There are also familiar spirits with some people. They are limited also. Some play good cop, bad cop. That is, “if you stop we’ll give you money” and even tell me that if I join them they will let people off the hook. And they do this over and over again. They also claim they will do this and that if I don’t stop. And of course it never works. But the stupid thing is that they will do this over and over, knowing that I won’t stop. In warfare, that’s what I call stupid.

the next time you are called to help someone with a problem of this nature, please ask a Catholic priest to go with you.

I’ve never been attacked physically with any exorcism. I’ve never been ill because of it. I know how to make holy water and use anointing oil. I know how to protect us. Don’t worry.

And like I said before, I frequently ask the archangels to stand as witnesses during an exorcism and prevent the demons from doing harm to me or the possessed. And they do. I know they are there because when I ask them to do a certain thing to the demon such as shut its mouth, it immediately stops talking.

Oh yes, I have that prayer on my blog. It’s not what I usually prayer in my prayer time. I use it primarily in warfare. St. Michael is my one of my guardians. He is a very large angel with light colored hair and has a sense of humor. He’s a good friend.

why do you think that a heavy hitting satanist would avoid a Catholic priest, but not have a problem coming to a non-Catholic Christian?

I stumbled into working with a Satanic cult after a member befriended me. At the time I was practicing Buddhism and had left Christianity. I was kind to everyone and compassionate. I saw this person struggling with personal issues. I didn’t know they were a Satanist or in a cult. We developed a friendship. One day all hell broke loose and then began the dilemma. I could no longer deny my roots and the existence of good and evil.

Of course, after that was all over, he admitted his involvement with the occult. After helping him try to leave the group, others came also. I’ve been busy ever since. The cult members I know are very afraid of churches and priests and anything holy.

I don’t share much more than that, not even on my blog.

Let’s just say that for the past few years I’ve been battling this cult and been able to release most of their members back into a semi-normal life. But the draw to go back into the life is tempting and sometimes unavoidable.

I never asked for any of this. I never wanted to be an exorcist.

I say this with all humility - I was chosen to do this - to free these people from a life of hell. I will not rest till this mission is accomplished. I will spend the rest of my life doing whatever God wants me to do. And for now, this is what He wants me to do.

And now, I will leave the thread and wish everyone peace and blessings from my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and God my Father, in the power of the Holy Spirit.

how is it done formally? i have have one friend that was into anton levay although she claims she’s not anymore, that she doesn’t believe in anything and i know another person (not a friend) that has gone to satanic churches and i think is into wiccan practice. she was talking about placing some kind of magic on one of her enemies. i stay away from her, but still i have been praying for her.

Somewhere between fact and fiction lies the truth. Below is the Google link for a site that tries to debunk the Exocist myth. Being from a skeptical perspective, it completely discounts the entire story and all exorcisms as old wives tales.

We know that Christ and the Apostles casts out demons throughout the Gospels. I don’t doubt that there are some around in this day and age. Would our OP- Mystic Warrior care to comment about the skeptics ? Have you seen or experienced real supernatural occurances or are the events limited to a bit of cursing and puking and otherwise natural events ?

A skeptic’s take on exorcism? If you wouldn’t accept a skeptic’s denial of the existence of God, why would you listen to a skeptic’s denial that possession exists? I’d rather listen to what the Church has to say on this topic.

By the way any activity of demons (or angels for that matter) is preternatural. Only God does supernatural things. See **this post **for more info.
