It might be cynically observed that, by leaving his fortune to charity, he will AGAIN avoid paying the tax man. If he left it all to his children (if he has any) or to some other person, the government would cash in BIG. But, by leaving it to charity, the government he loves so much that he wants US to pay it more, will get nothing of his estate.

And, of course, it won’t be outright gifts to the Salvation Army or something, it will be a private foundation that will promote HIS favorite causes. Control beyond the grave.
