Second you still haven’t given any easoning behind why you think these changes were needed. The issue was brought up numerous times and it seemed like the support was in favor of not allowing women to serve at the altar. Yet they kept pushing and pushing and eventually got what they wanted.

But why? Why this need to allow what was already addressed as being prohibited.

If I may add to this. This site may provide some answers as to ‘why it happen’.


I believe we/Catholics won’t see female ordained because it’s not found in Scripture, nor Tradition. In the history of the Church, the ordained has been understood as reflecting Christ, who chose only men to be his Apostles. Christ reserved the ordained for men is, therefore, bound up with the fact the priest receives a share in the priesthood of Christ and is called to act in the Person of Christ the bridegroom, which is the specifically male relation.
