Teen/Young Adult converts?

I am converting, and will be confirmed this Easter (I was baptized in the Lutheran church.) Since I am 21, my parents don’t have a problem with my converting; they don’t quite understand why I am choosing to become Catholic, but neither of them attend the church they grew up in, so they aren’t about to tell me what to do in regards to religion. I was actually pleasantly surprised that they didn’t make a big deal out of it.
 
Speaking of age limits and all that, if a teens paents say he/she cant convert is that seriously final? I mean if i were a priest I would see it as my duty to baptize anyone who asks as long as they really want it. I dont know it just seems that not letting a teen be baptized because of parents wishes, particularly if they are strong protestants or perhaps anti-catholic, it seems almost backwards,.
 
Hi all, Someone might know on this thread: I am wondering what the song was which Mary sang at the Australian World Youth Day Stations of the Cross when she had dead Jesus in her arms. Unfortunatley I have no words. Internet doesnt accept me humming the tune!! It is a great song and was also sung at Australian cricketer Don Bradman’s funeral. Any ideas??

I’m 23 and I’m converting - will be received into full Communion with the Church at Easter Vigil.

I went:

Nominally Presbyterian → Atheist → Evangelical → Catholic

I’m 21, quit my social fraternity in college for God and a better life, and missed deadline on RCIA this year (because I was still on the fence, and learning and reading and discerning), so I plan on being baptized next Lenten season. Have been doing night prayer every night, Rosary most days, and Sunday Mass, with sparse weekday Mass.

Reform Judaism → thought about atheism → Catholic

17 and asked mummy to convert and it was a big no! to the face. I am wondering the same thing too 🤷
 
19 when I found out that Jesus is Lord. 22 now. I was an atheist coming from a Hindu background, and my parents threatened to leave me alone but I did not relent. They now see my zeal and accept it. I will be able to convert after college in 2014.
