Tenn. Bishop Backs Religious Freedom Lawsuit After Alternatives Fail

Now, according to this article, there are 29 active lawsuits against the HHS mandate, representing over 80 institutions.

Of course, everyone deserves religious liberty. The mandate suppresses religious liberty for every employer, not just religious institutions.
 
I am glad the Bishops are taking the legal route to combat this issue. I have to wonder what the next step would be if this failed. Will Catholic hospitals and schools close? Will Catholic Doctors, Nurses and teachers give up their licenses rather than risk having to participate in anti-life procedures? If so, what will be the condition of our education system and health systems? Scary thoughts.

I wonder about that myself. What if the government refuses to acknowledge our freedom of religion in this matter? What if the government refuses to relinquish in its attack on religious freedom?

It is honestly rather scary to think about as you have said. I mean, if the government manages to get away with this HHS mandate, what else will they also get away with in the future when it comes to our religious freedom?

I tell you I cherish no freedom more than the freedom of religion. If they take away our freedom of religion then they may as well take away my citizenship as well.
 
How many have heard anything re: HHS mandate from the pulpit? I suspect few.
