In spain the women don´t lose their surnames, we are more feminists, greetings
That’s not what’s strange. Heinz isn’t her maiden name but the name of her first husband. Maybe Kerry is cool with that, but any normal man would feel at least a little peeved I think. 🙂

Joe Kelley:
Is Heinz her maiden name, or the name of her first husband?

I can see retaining one’s maiden name, especially for professional purposes. However retaining the first husband’s name in the second marriage would be strange.
Heinz is the name of her first husband, Senator Heinz

It’s a set up for Hillary to take the lead in ’ 08
Maybe Teresa will leave John, Hillary will leave Bill, and the two will get together and run on an President/VP ticket for the Rainbow Party.

yes, and many Catholics will claim it is licit to vote for them because they embrace social justice issues.

You know, I’m with Fitz…that is funny (that is for a Mudgie)😃 …but having Kerry for a State Senator isn’t:p 😛

Sitting out here in the cheap seats I see what he gets from HER but I do not understand what she gets from HIM. Imagine LIVING with that annoying voice every day of your life. Listening to him was like fingernails on a chalkboard. And yes I know Pres Bush tends to mangle the language but his tone and inflection is simply more pleasant listening.
You have made a very astute observation that explains how so many people could vote for Kerry - his voice was so annoying that people did not bother listening to his message and never knew what Kerry stood for. The tactic played very well for those who were against Bush and the war.

It’s hard to believe that any objective person could not know what Kerry stood for.

But as Uncle Herbivore says, "Stupidity is exasperating. Willful ignorance is bulletproof."http://forums.catholic-questions.org/images/icons/icon12.gif

And her children. She may want to retain the name for those reasons. Also the Heinz foundations are quite prominent and she is involved. I suspect adding Kerry was just for political expediency and no reason to continue. Hillary did something similar although she went by H. Rodham for a long time, then did Hillary Clinton, now settling for Hillary Rodham Clinton.
