Rick Perry gets my VOTE! No more liberal democrat lies and promises, we need true leadership. Vote for a person not a color!

Here are some buzz words I hear from the left:
  • There is a CONSENSUS of scientists
  • It’s SETTLED law
  • You can’t be pro-life and pro death penalty.
  • Pro lifers only care about the baby before it’s born
  • Conservatives are immoral because they oppose government help for the poor
  • Same sex “marriage”
The left has a bad habit of forcing their own definitions on the rest of us.

And no, NPR is not balanced. It presents it’s stories on premises I don’t agree with. They at least keep me on my toes. 👍
Qui est-ce, is there any way you can get the expression “at the end of the day” banned?
And, while you’re at it, is there a chance you can include “conventional wisdom” with it?

You’d have to get permission from the left. They like to regulate their ideas. 😉

Yes, but if you simply persuaded their non-use in the future, wouldn’t that represent 'self discipline", which is more a Republican concept?

This kind of extreme litmus-test pledge for Supreme Court judges is one of the factors that is likely to contribute to Perry’s NOT getting elected if he should be the nominee for President. The other part of the pledge, outlawing late-term abortions WITHOUT any exception (woman’s health, rape, incest) may serve as another nail in his political coffin. This is sure to receive exposure time from the Obama campaign (if not directly by Obama), and combined with voters’ nervousness about their perception of the GOP’s views on privatizing/eliminating Social Security and Medicare, may serve as a sufficient counterbalance in the general election to the economic woes associated with the Obama administration. In short, signing the pledge may be good for Perry in the Republican primaries where he is preaching to the choir, but not in the general election among Democrats and Independents, particularly women.

PRINCETON, NJ – Shortly after announcing his official candidacy, Texas Gov. Rick Perry has emerged as rank-and-file Republicans’ current favorite for their party’s 2012 presidential nomination. Twenty-nine percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents nationwide say they are most likely to support Perry, with Mitt Romney next, at 17%.

There are no cases (none) where a child must be killed via late term abortion to save the life of the mother. Zero. Nada. In every case, the child can be born viably through C-section. So that point is moot. And why would a woman wait until the child is viable after rape of incest to have an abortion? Again, no legitimate reasoning there. Late term abortions (all abortions, but especially infanticide) are a symptom of a degenerate and pitiless society that deserves God’s wrath.

:rotfl:
Gift from God:
So much for conservatives being against activist judges
One of the most persistent myths of American politics is that either conservatives and liberals have a consistent judicial philosophy. The idea that there are ‘strict contructionists’ or ‘judicial activists’ in the courts (or at least on the supreme court) anymore is just a tired myth. Judges are as much political actors as anyone else. They, like virtually every signle other American, have their politics first, and then seek to construct the juristic philosophy to justify their politics. This is standard in the US. The constitution is nothing more than wrapping paper for your politics.

You’re definitely right. It’s just so hypocritical that conservatives will complain about judges being liberals but not judges that are conservative
