This is a great idea but not far enought. i beleive that at birth every one should get a chip implated in them. Now this chip should only be used when a) the person is kinaped , b) running the the law, or c) underage runaways. all other times it is inert. This would benefit us greatly.
You must be trolling…

No i am not trolling. I get that alot when ever this sort of topic comes up in my life. Imo The benifits that can come from readily be able to locate a person outweigh the negatives of being able to locate a person. From what i know a family who child is kinaped fine for peace if they find the child dead than never finding the child. This would help law enforcement as well by helping them locate suspects. I dont see how someone being able to tell where you are is that big an envasion of privicy. I dont think that this should an open resourse and should be under a high leval of security, so to reduce its missuse but for 99% of the time the pros outway the cons. I for one dont go any where that i would be ashamed of telling other people i go. I am sorry if my oppinion upsets you. ITs also not like we dont already have a higher power that knows exactly where we are already:rolleyes:😃 ( sorry that last line was a little trolly but still true)
God bless

Really?

I can’t think of a single instance in my life where the government knowing where I was benefited me.

If this was such a wonderful idea why not start with tracking criminals first?

How about even one step further… Implanted microchips with satellite released sedative injections into the bloodstream -that way if someone were on the run from the police, they could just activate the formula and the perpetrator would fall immediately unconscious until after the police were able to make an arrest… No more weapons needed at all… No more crime. The police could also have long distance scanner-guns that could sedate people from long distances, as well as through satellite operated databases that work off social security numbers.

The benefits would outweigh the cons on that one too 99% of the time.

Amen…I getting a bit afraid that Orwell was only off by a few decades.

Voters voting the wrong way…
Yeah, give them just enough to make them feel sick all the time…:(. Eventually they’ll vote the right way, or just stop voting all together.

Those newscasters and politicians who used to talk about it all got fired for not showing up for work all the time… They got sick too. 😦

And you can’t see the government ever using it for nefarious reasons?
I don’t think that this should an open resource and should be under a high level of

The White House computers have been hacked. A “high level of security” doesn’t exist.

It isn’t that anyone is “ashamed” about where they go. It is that they don’t feel it is the government’s business where they go.

The government doesn’t need to know where I attend church. Or if I have been to a gun store. Or if I wasted gas yesterday.

We know from experience, if the government has the information, they will use it. And not always for good reasons.

The Northside Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas is reguiring middle & high school students to wear a tracking chip around their neck while on campus. The RFID (radio-frequency identification) chip tracks the location of a student at all times. It’s purpose is to reduce truancy. Many parents and students are opposed to this. High school sophomore Andrea Hernamdez refuses to use the new IDs, citing invasion of privacy and religious beliefs, calling the tracking devices the “mark of the beast”. Should we be concerned about this?
My instinct is to cry “What an outrage!!!”

But it is well established that students have no right to privacy in school. I’d like to see these IDs required for all district employees as well.

Sometimes it’s best to just go with your instincts. ;). 😃

The teachers will be wearing them as well, not because the teachers are being tracked but because the students will not feel singled out. I’m not sure there would be anything to gain from requiring non-classroom staff to wear the IDs.
