Hello My Friends,

As we make our way through one of my favorite liturgical practices, the “O Antiphons,” I just want to thank you good people for your understanding of our decision to close the Catholic Answers Forums. I know many of you have been on these forums for some time.

I especially want to thank those of you whose irenic and charitable answers have brought souls closer to Jesus Christ. You will learn on the other side of the veil how much God has made use of you!

If any of you have any questions about the Forums or about Catholic Answers generally, I will do my best to answer them.

Peace and All Good,

Chris

I have no questions, I am only here to thank you and everyone else behind the scenes like the @camoderator s and tech people that kept this place up and running.

CAF has literally been a part of every day of my life since 2009. I have learned a lot, prayed a lot and made many friends here I would not otherwise have gotten to know.

All good things much end, and so it is with CAF. Thank you, and may God bless you in your future endeavors.

Though I’m not Catholic nor planning on changing at this time, I do want to thank you sincerely for being here. I entered with some knowledge of Catholicism but nothing of a deep understanding. Through all the posters here, I have gained enormous amounts of information and understanding of what catholic believe and why they believe them. This is often information that couldn’t be gained any other way other than conversing with Catholics!

I have made friends here and will continue on my learning journey but thank you for all that I have gained. Peace to all.

Although I’ve been here a much shorter time than @Irishmom2 — only since 2015 — I’d like to endorse everything she said. I came here, above all, for the purpose of learning about our faith, and I’ve been learning every day. Thank you, Chris, and thank you, too, to all @camoderator s, past and present, who have done such a fine job.

Many Thanks to you, to CA, and to all the moderators who have put up with us 😉 all these years.

Merry Christmas to you and yours, and all those at CA, and a Happy New Year!

May God bless Catholic Answers apostolate and all the endeavors you undertake.

I’ve been here since about '04. I’ve been off and on. I loved the Ask an Apologist section the most. The Prayer Requests was also a common space I reviewed quietly. But when the Ask and Apologist went silent, I didn’t lurk around quite so much. I enjoyed the back and forth on the WN forums, and enjoyed lurking on the Apologetics, but since the new forums it became almost like the wild west. Far less fun.

I really miss the old CAF, and I think the old CAF is what most people miss.

I just wish it could have lasted another 30 years or so 😉 Then I would not have to find new places!

Patty, if there are ever any questions we can answer for you, do not hesitate to contact us. We can even tell you about the secret monkeys in the Vatican!

Yup. We had the same issue on the old forums that we encountered on the mains site. The submission of questions was too much for our small band of apologists to keep up with.

Another one who just wants to say a huge thank you to everyone at Catholic Answers and everyone involved in running CAF. From when I joined, I’ve gone from someone in a secular country, who didn’t know any Catholics, to chatting to Catholics all over the world about every topic under the sun. It’s been brilliant, and it’s a real testament to what CA have achieved. Thank you 🙂

I actually indirectly know a Jesuit priest currently assigned to the Vatican! He’s helping set up and maintain their networks and security! I’ll ask him about the secret monkeys! 😂😂😂

He’s already shown us awesome pictures of playing D&D in the catacombs! He tried to get the pope to come play! He politely declined!

Yes indeed. Thank you for everything. Ten years ago I was 2 years in to Catholicism, as I have learned from literally everyone on here, I began to be able to share my journey as well. I am now the. RCIA Director in my parish, and CAF has been helpful for me in learning about other faith backgrounds, and how to approach people who aren’t as familiar with what we believe.

Thank you, also thank @Christopher_Check for all the good work of CA.

I cannot thank him;
He never gave @discobot the task of moderating.
I think discobot deserves that honour.

One thing that I have witnessed here on CAF is that unbelievers, as much as they try, cannot diminish the faith and hope of those who love God. For that and other things, I am grateful to the CAF team. You will be missed.

😄 Thank you for continually allowing me on “Catholic Answers” in the face of ongoing persecution against me for being Catholic and having a worldview which many people hate, even though I am still to this day being proven right all along. 😄

I would also like to thank CA for this amazing resource. I first discovered CA and then the forum, I believe in 2016 when I was approaching Catholicism. I have learned so much through the forum, received excellent advice and a deeper understanding of my faith questions. I will miss this forum and all of those involved. Many friendships made. Thank you.
