** In the name of Allah , the Most Gracious , Ever Merciful **
Salaam/ Peace
… I’m going to wash, I feel dirty now even discussing it.
lol . Try to start reading when u feel you are clean.
God forbids husbands to be cruel to wives . If a husband does not fear God & utter the word 3 Talaq/ divorce at a time , it shows that he disobeyed God. Why on earth a woman would prefer to stay with him at all ? She should start a new life with a pious Muslim.
God did not create women as toys for men that they can do whatever they want. It’s good for her that she got rid of that husband who is not a God fearing person.
In the past , when there was no limit how many times a husband can divorce wife , women became victims of such cruel husbands. They gave them divorces whenever they wanted. When husbands came to know that parents are arranging marriage of his ex-wife , he rushed to say them that , hey , I am now withdrawing divorce , she is mine , u can’t arrange her marriage . Husbands used to blackmailed wives that you belong to me forever .
So , the revealation came : And if he has divorced her (the third time), then she is not lawful unto him thereafter until she has married another husband. Then, if the other husband divorces her, it is no sin on both of them that they reunite, provided they feel that they can keep the limits ordained by Allah. These are the limits of Allah, which He makes plain for the people who have knowledge.
( سورة البقرة , Al-Baqara, Chapter #2, Verse #230)
It was a warning for husbands that treat wives well .
"And when you have divorced women and they have fulfilled the term of their prescribed period, either take them back on reasonable basis or set them free on reasonable basis.
But do not take them back to hurt them, and whoever does that, then he has wronged himself.
And treat not the Verses (Laws) of Allah as a jest, but remember Allahs Favours on you (i.e. Islam), and that which He has sent down to you of the Book (i.e. the Quran) and Al-Hikmah (the Prophets Sunnah - legal ways - Islamic jurisprudence, etc.) whereby He instructs you. And fear Allah, and know that Allah is All-Aware of everything. "
