that was seized by Samali pirates. Let’s pray for their safe release and for the emotional well being of their families and friends.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death
Amen.

I will add this to my intentions for my rosary today.

God bless!

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death. Amen

Why aren’t these ships armed if they travel through dangerous waters?

I don’t understand this either. It’s no big secret what’s happening out there. These guys ought to be easy pickings if you’re prepared!

Amen!!! I imagine that was very terrifying…

Lord, please bring them all back safely. In the name of The Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Amen

Reuters is reporting that only the ship’s Captain is being held hostage now, on a lifeboat from the ship. The crew has tied up one of the pirates and is hoping to arrange a swap. A US military boat is either there, or near there, to help in the incident.

Father in heaven, may Your guardian angels hover over each of the involved souls, leading them to a safe and rational conclusion to this terrible incident. Grant that those in the wrong seek repentance and that Your Will is done. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your suffering servant, by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Amen! Alleluia!

OH Dear! earlier report I read did not say that! I had no idea the pirates still had one man. Everyone please continue to pray. They must be desperate right now and his life is probably in more danger now than before I imagine.

Father we ask Your protection for anyone who remains captive by these pirates. Please give them grace to release their captives and to avoid endandering others by their greed. Please grant a speedy successful exchange.

Our Father, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name,
Thy Kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven
Give us this day
Our daily bread
And forgive us our tresspasses
As we forgive those
Who tresspass against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil. Amen

Glory Be to the Father
And to the Son
And to the Holy Spirit
As it was in the beginning
Is now
And ever shall be
A world without end
Amen

Lord, You love each and every soul involved in this sad event. Graciously send forth Your Holy Spirit, to illumine the hearts and minds of those involved so that Your gift of life will be respected in the outcome of this situation. We especially pray for the innocent captain of the ship. May those who chose to do wrong come to repentance, for they are loved no less than any of your creations. We ask this through the intercession of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen! Alleluia!
