Let me know if this is slow enough for you:
The topic is “The Absurdity of Atheism.” Atheism claims “God does not exist.” Prove the claim is not absurd either scientifically or philosophically. I won’t hold my breath.
No. Atheism is lack of belief in god(s). Prove God exists.

Atheism is merely a reactionary philosophy; a theist claims a deity exists, and because I see no evidence for its existence, I see no reason to believe in your deity. That’s all.

It’s a bit frustrating when believers don’t seem to grasp why I’m an atheist. To quote another atheist, “When you know why you dismiss all other possible gods, you’ll know why I dismiss yours.”

If a theist has evidence for their deity, that would be great. But there hasn’t been any offered yet, so I see absolutely no reason why I should submit my intellect to belief in one.

It is disingenuous to argue that “God does not exist” is different from “Atheism is lack of belief in God.”

I’ve heard this said by a hundred different people who could never explain to me the difference. It would be interesting to know the original utterance and the reason of the original speaker for making such a vapid distinction.

There is no evidence for the Resurrection as an historical event anymore than there is for the Quran when it claims that Mohammed ascended to heaven on a winged horse.
There’s also no evidence that the Lord William invaded England 😉

All kinds of arguments for the existence of God have been around for thousands of years.

It’s a long reading list. Start reading.

Proofs for the non-existence of God have never been found. Atheists don’t even know where to begin looking for them. So your reading list is mercifully short. 😉

I don’t know who Lord Williams is. What point were trying to make?
William the Conqueror, Duke of Normandy.

Our understanding of history comes from witnesses, and we have witnesses for the Resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, just as we do for the Norman Invasion of England 🙂

It’s a subtle difference, but it’s a real difference.

To say that a particular god “does not exist” is a position that would require evidence, just like claiming that a god “does exist” requires it. As an atheist, I don’t have enough evidence to declare that Zeus or Allah or Yahweh or Ahura Mazda “don’t exist.”

Nor do I see no evidence that any of them do exist.

As an atheist, I can only say: I don’t believe.

Atheism can be attacked on many fronts?

What good does it do?

Does it explain anything?

Is it rational?

Is it beautiful?

Is it moral?

Etc., etc.

The narrow prospects of atheism are obvious and disappointing. It leads nowhere, but follows every man’s whim to escort his own descent toward purposeless and despair.

There is a difference in kind between God and a god. God is the Creator of things, the source of Being, while Zeus, etc. work with the kind of being they embody.

What do you mean by evidence?

My question is why are you attacking non-belief?

Okay why don’t you believe in Pan?

My question is why are you attacking non-belief?
Because non-belief is unreflective apathy. It’s a fault. Humans who do not reflect on the meaning of the universe and their lives do not exist in the end.

We grasp what atheism is, and we may grasp why an individual is an atheist.
Not sure what you are frustrated with though. You don’t accept our beliefs over your own, so 🤷 we disagree on beliefs.
A theist presents evidence for our deity, you reject it.
Why should you be frustrated?
