Here is one ya gotta love…Babe theBlue Ox has one of the best bassist, a girl no less! I just recently bought their compilation that came out…this song is genius…they look so young!

Check out some of their other tunes also!

 
1992…when Babe was first getting going…man the sounds terrible but check out the energy! They are from New York and I saw a couple months ago they were putting on a benefit show…they are all professionals now…with kids…I wanted to go but chickened out (big city fears)

It’s dawned on me that my definition of alternative music as songs that I don’t hear on the radio as a misnomer since I don’t listen to songs on the radio.

I think this is called ‘Deep House’, not sure if it’s alternative, but I like it.

 
Very nice…

Ya know…the term Alternative is quite slippery…I think it has changed so much over the years…especially with the advent of the internet.

To me a lot of it is independent artist now and small record company labels.
I haven’t listened to a radio station in eons…I even had that satellite radio on a new car recently and thought it was terrible.

I have listened to the 'classics" since I was a kid…frankly I am tired of them…anything with constant play I do not care to listen to…I love seeking out new stuff…nothing is more satisfying than discovering a new band that is otherwise unknown…even if they are weird…

How about a nice scary one about a demented murderous eight year old child sung in bluegrass with Tuvan throat singing? 😁

Well, technically it is Alt country…kind of, it is very strange and good…

still a hoot though…

I double dog dare you not to giggle at this one…
