I’m not even gonna bother to click the link. I don’t even want to know what’s on there. Why is there a thing called “ecchi angels” on your profile anyway?
You do realize I attribute that list to someone else right? :ehh:

P.S.

It’s just a clip from Lucky Star sheesh.
I could be wrong, but I have looked at anthro art before on DA. As I searched I saw a lot of bad stuff there on the anthro section. Even though there may not be as many stamps for this garbage I still say yiff is more popular than yaoi (sad than either one is popular at all).
Yiff and bestiality are actually considered to be on a lower level than even Lolicon. I have friends who are into what I call the “4chan Culture”, trust me. Yaoi is a lot more mainstream. In the fanfiction scene, there are more Naruto yaoi fics compared to other pairings and I highly doubt fan art could be far behind. shivers I don’t even wanna try searching the word “yaoi” on dA for fear of what I might see.

What’s DBZ Kai? Is that something beyond what all was shown on Toonami?
Don’t only the males fuse in DBZ–yaoi? LOL
I’ve heard of hentai and yaoi before, which interests me nothing at all, but not yiff.

You don’t even wanna see it. It’s disgusting. I probably shouldn’t have even mentioned it. People who are into it basically take these anthropomorphic animals and touch their sexuality with them. At least deviantART censors some of it unlike google.

To lostwanderer,
Should really be attributing to someone who promotes ecchi?

Okay, something tells me you don’t really grasp what I meant by “attribute” so I’ll make it more simple for you.

It’s. Not. MINE!!! DX

EW, your characters should have funny names like Okidoki and Kuchiku. They may not make sense to the Japanese, but they’d be funny to us.

.
Kai is actually a re-edited version of DBZ. I’ve watched one or two eps, and while I agree in principle with cutting out the excruciating filler eps and endless flashbacks, I don’t like the new dub. Just don’t care for the voices or the re-naming of characters.

Don’t tell me they removed the driver’s ed. episode! That was hilarious!

ROFL… we just watched that one yesterday, but I still wanted to kill them. 😛

The Majin Buu saga definitely could use trimming:

Goku: We seem to be stuck in Majin Buu’s intestines. Here, Vegeta, put on this fusion earring.
Vegeta: Well, if you insist. But you’ll fight me, Kakarott!

Eighteen weeks later:

Vegeta: I forget; why are we still in Majin Buu’s intestines?
Goku: To study what he had for lunch!

Which characters were re-named? I’ve seen several episodes of the dub already and don’t remember that. Also I think there were only 2 or 3 voice actors that were replaced.
Tenshinhan comes to mind. What, that was too hard for us to say? 😉

Yeah, I know but it was the same with the other dubs too, where they would either call him “Tien Shinhan” or usually just “Tien”. I thought you meant that there were characters re-named especially for the dub version of “Kai”. Compared to the other Funimation dubs in general though, it actually seems to be a much more faithful translation so far to me. (I’ve been watching the ones on Nicktoons)

I’ve been watching that same one, as well–it’s just that changing names is one of my pet peeves. Even though Pokemon did it!

And it seems like a sloppy translation. ‘Otherworld?’ HelLO!? They’re dead. It’s not ‘Otherworld.’ Why do you think they have those haloes?

And why would Dende say in one sentence, ‘… and a hundred of my brothers and sisters…’ and in the next sentence: “Woman? What’s a woman?”

Again, a more faithful translation only compared to the last US dubs. 😉 It’s a lot better than THOSE as far as translation I think, but I agree still nowhere close to the best they could have done. The fact that they’re trying to kiddie the whole thing up even to the point of taking out words like “dead” and heaven/hell, and replacing it with stuff like “going to other world” among other things, doesn’t help either.

That thing Dende said really got to me too LOL… “siblings” would have been a much better word to use for that part, but oh well. Of course, shortly after I noticed that I also started dwelling on the problem of “how is it that all these different planets that have never communicated with each other before just happen to understand the same exact language anyway?” - and then I resign myself to the inevitable “oh well it’s just a cartoon after all” :o

Don’t even know if I should have mentioned it. It’s basically anthropomorphic animals having sex. It’s pornography to those into bestiality. Those people ended up corrupting a thing called “Furry fandom” which is what people who are fans of anthros are a part of.

I’ll leave it at that.
It’s actually alluded to briefly in an episode of Dragon Ball, believe it or not. :o Of course, they totally changed the dialogue in the US dub so that they’re talking about something completely different. It’s in the King Piccolo saga.

Do places like Blockbuster rent anime? That’s the only thing I could think of.
Some Blockbusters do have anime, but not a very good selection at all. You have a much better chance at Hastings’ if there’s one in your area.

sighs I guess I’ll watch Kai if I happen to catch it on.

Most American cartoons consist of characters who are only trying to do each other misery. At least DBZ has SOME redeeming value.
