Oh yeah, I’d definitely answer a quiz like that. Although, I’m pretty confident that I won’t end up with a hot-headed tsundere like Asuna (Negima) or Kagami (Lucky Star). :rolleyes:😛

I’m thinking mine would be a mix of Chi (Chobits), Shinobu (Love Hina), and Azmaria (Chrono Crusade). Then again, don’t those girls fall closely under one archetype? 🤷

Sorry, haven’t seen wolf’s rain either so I can’t give my (name removed by moderator)ut on that.

Regarding nudity, as far as I know regular broadcast TV anime isn’t allowed nudity so if you’re watching it from the telly I doubt there will be. Full DVD versions of select ones may have that sort especially if they’re in the ecchi genre.

Which brings me to the question, to which degree of nudity can you stand and of what context of nudity will be acceptable to you? The furthest an anime to DVD version could go would be a bare chest with the details, anything other than that would be adult ones.

Fan-service is another topic in itself though as most modern anime will have some sort of fan-service injected in it.

Personally, I don’t mind the occasional fan-service/semi-nudity as long as it’s not the main attraction of the show and it’s done sparsely. An engaging premise and a good storyline is my priority so I tend to avoid the more overt harem romantic comedies since this genre would have the most pervyness.

I doubt Wolf’s rain is a part of the ecchi genere, but nevertheless I’m hoping there isn’t any nudity.

As for me, depending on the scene and if the scene is not too long, and no private parts or cleavage are shown, than I guess I can say it’s not perverted, like how Adam and Eve were before the Fall.

Of course, I would still like to avoid any kind of nudity at all.
 
Well I just found out from a site that Wolf’s rain may contain nudity. That’s too bad…

My predictions:
  1. Gin Ichimaru (or is it Ichimaru Gin? I keep bouncing from translation to translation and some idiots switch the character’s surnames and given names around) ISNT a traitor after all.
  2. Tousen gets hosed in the most satisfying manner.
  3. We never get to see Unohara or Yamato’s real fighting skills.
  4. Orihime x Ichigo FINALLY happens.
  5. The Arrancar arc is going to be merely a setback for Aizen…(you have to play WoW to get that one, though).
Kube or whatever his name is, has already stated that…brace for impact…this ISNT the last arc and after this will be a Kurosaki Isshin arc (did i spell that right?). The bodies hanging in Apporo’s lab will have something important to do with this and he will make another boatload of money for milking the series beyond a reasonable point.

Personally, I’ve finding Bleach going down hill from reading the manga. It seems Kubo hypes the arrancar only to make them die in the most impossible manner. It’s like he’s not obeying his own rules that set for the series. I know Ichigo is the hero but there’s only so many times when his Hollow can conveniently show up. Then again, I RP Szayel on a FB RP group so maybe I’m biased…

I own Wolf’s Rain and highly recommend it. It’s definitely not ecchi. Which site are you taking about? The only nudity I recall is implied, nothing hanging out if you will.
 
I don’t remember any ecchi in Wolf’s Rain, but then again, I don’t remember much about it except it not making much of any sense to me at the time.

To post above: Yeah, I have no idea what Kubo Tite is smoking these days. If you’ve seen him at his interviews, you’d realize he’s definitely smoking something, but the currect manga chapters make little sense. We can’t use spoilers here on the forum, but for those of you who DON’T want it spoiled, everything in the past like, month or two, has been one huge potkai that makes little or no sense at all. Worse, the fact that KT has stated that this ISN’T the final arc means that the Arrancar arc will merely be a setback.
 
I didn’t think it was ecchi. The site I saw was Anime News Network.

FYI, when ANN lists the following: “Teenagers (May contain bloody violence, bad language, nudity)”, it’s a general statement and not meant to be considered specific to Wolf’s Rain. If you look at other shows listed on the site, there are some shows which carry this rating that don’t even feature nudity/gore/whatever.

See Wolf’s Rain again—it takes about 3 times to see everything in perspective.

Yeah, I don’t what Kubo Tite is doing. If anything, I’d like to see Ichigo become the villian–that would be a plot twist I’d welcome!

I think I have an idea what’s going to happen. Ichigo arrives in the fake Karrkura (however it’s romanized) town and then Aizen goes bankai to reveal that the entire Bleach series is merely an illusian and Ichigo is a regular Japanese high school student dating Inoue Orihime who was in his house when an earthquake hit, knocking him unconscious with falling debris. Series ends. Kubo Tite makes another bazillion dollars.

Just to add my two cents. I’ve seen artwork and reviews regarding Wolf’s Rain In all my experience watching anime and reading manga, once your cast of main characters is chock loaded with guys then the chances of it being ecchi are incredibly slim. Ecchi, fan service, and sexual nudity are more likely to be found in anime that have a fairly numerous roster of females.

Unless it’s a shounen-ai anime but then again, Wolf’s Rain doesn’t strike me as that either.

Thanks Lost Wanderer. After reading some of the comments last night I decided to have another look at it. I would definatly like to watch a few episodes before I make the decision of buying the DVD set, but it’s not on TV anymore. It used to be on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim and I don’t know where else to watch it except on youtube, and I highly doubt Bandai (the owning company of Wolf’s Rain) posted it on youtube. I don’t wanna watch the stuff other users posted because that would violate copyright law.

About this copyright law stuff. I’m wondering what’s the general consensus regarding copyright with the people in this forum?

I know it’s a gray area but personally for me if it’s unlicensed (while it’s still unlicensed for some newer titles) I have no problems with watching it. For example the show Legend of the Galactic Heroes (Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu) and it’s epic 110 episodes will never ever, ever, be licensed and dubbed so I have no qualms in downloading a fan-subtitled one and watching it.
In a perfect scenario I just have to learn japanese and buy Region 2 DVD’s (though for some old shows there aren’t even DVD releases yet) to avoid copyright infringement but as much as I want to learn Japanese, I don’t have the time to do it yet.

So what I do is, I watch the show, if I like the show enough I buy some merchandise, if for some reason the show gets licensed I stop and wait for the R1 DVD release then I buy it.

Also, Eagleswings if you want to watch some fairly recent anime you can watch it in Crunchyroll, it’s like Hulu, the ones that are shown there are sanctioned by the japanese companies to be subbed and streamed elsewhere.
 
I’ve watched an episode or two of certain series on YouTube just to determine whether I like it enough to buy it.

You might consider that, or see whether a library or video rental place has the series you want.
 
Btw, Bandai has its own Youtube channel, though I don’t think Wolf’s Rain is on there. The entire series is available for only $35 on Amazon though. If you just want to sample things before you buy, you might want to consider getting Netflix.

I try not to resort to downloading unless I’m positive the title is otherwise impossible to get. Watching small clips is probably ok, depending on context. On occasion I’ve imported DVDs from Japan; I generally don’t like fansubs. These days the anime industry is taking advantage of global streaming, so I’m starting to rely on that to get my fix.

–Oh yeah. I’ve used the ‘KeyholeTV’ program before, which streams some Japanese television. As I understand it, this program is genuinely legal since it was developed by Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and is available for anyone to download.

I don’t know, but if you search the forums for “copyright” I’m sure you’ll find a ton of threads to scour and try to gauge based on that. (haven’t tried this yet myself, just thinking out loud) In my experience though it seems like it’s one of the most oft-beaten dead horse of a moral topic that always comes up here on CAF. Maybe even second place! (as of course, nothing can ever compare to the topic of masturbation in this regard)
