Is the book entitled The Apocrypha Translated out of The Original Tongue a good book to read?
The deuterocanon is not apocrypha. Protestant churches use this as a slur against the canon. Do not be complicit with that. Refer to the deuterocanon as the deuterocanon.Krobbins.―If you have a Catholic Bible, you’ve already got the whole of what Protestants call “the Apocrypha”: Judith, Tobit, the Wisdom of Solomon, and four other whole books, plus the longer (Greek) versions of Esther and Daniel.
From what I can tell in Amazon, it’s just the books themselves not any sort of commentary or discussion. And they are already in the Catholic Bible.I gather it is a rebuttal against the books that are in the Catholic bible and not in a Protestant bible?
