Frankly I don’t care, and I and not interested in what you think about anything. I was discussing this subject with Nan, and she wanted references to ECF writings on the deification of man, and I gave her some.

Well I am not Nan either but you are WAY off track about
Eastern Orthodox and Eastern Catholics teachingabout the so called “deification of humans”.

Only Mormons teach that humans can become “godS”, not Eastern Christians.

It is the EO teaching that men can share only in the energies of God, and NEVER share in the ESSENCE of God, that is a huge difference that Mormons try to sweep under the rug.

Christians, orthodox Christians anyway only beleive in ONE God, we have never taught the Mormon doctrine of polytheism and we never ever will. One real God, who has always been God and will remain the One and only God. We do not teach anything about ordinary Christians becoming "gods plural.

This is an important point to make to Mormons. The bible says that we will be joint heirs with Christ of all that the Father HAS, not all that He IS. Huge difference.

God love you,
Paul

HI, Montalban,
G’day, Nan S
I was actually wondering about this. Does the history of the Orthodox record apostolic decent through John in one of the Eastern churches? If so, who succeeded him and when?

I have no idea. All I know was that he was not martyred. I have read something about him training Polycarp of Smyrna
Nan S;1905973:
And do the Orthodox have any additional details about John’s death, other than it was about 100 AD of natural causes, in Ephesus?

Nan
I have only a vague notion about him dying in 101.
