I don’t agree with this argument in the same way I disagree with the fourth Way. I mean, for all we know, we lived in complete paradise before the ages of 2 or 3, when we start having stable memory which we can recall now. Maybe all our desires were fulfilled for what seemed like an eternity, and then we have to deal with some mediocre years before we go to nothing. At least that argument rests on possibility. The Fourth Way is very similar in saying there must be a greatest good. But maybe the greatest good was already experienced with one’s mother while in her and for a year or two after. Maybe “waking up” at 2 or 3 is like the end of a journey
