Did anyone see this movie? I cried my eyes out. I felt for the little boy, but I suppose that could happen when Germans were so blinded by their own. The innocents whom didn’t even know what went on during the Holocaust. If you watch this movie, beware and have lots of tissues on hand.
What goes around comes around (for the German soldiers that is…). Sad, sad movie.😦

I agree. I cried very much over this movie and the whole sordid affair. Having been to Yad Vashem in Israel twice, it makes it more real…

I love the ending! (I won’t spoil it for those who have seen it) It’s poetic in its own way. I love that the film-makers didn’t flinch and went through with it. You don’t see that often in films. If you’re going to ask an audience to “think” about something, you shouldn’t flinch.

On a different (but similar) note, I also loved the ending to Gran Torino. A very Christian movie in its own way.

They had an excuse, we don’t!

“The innocents whom didn’t even know what went on during the Holocaust” does not apply today.

**We are allowing a much more horrible holocaust, 50+ million innocent babies “legally” murdered by their parents due to abortion.
**
**When we die, we must all answer alone and unaided to Jesus for our lives;
**
"but Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” (Mt 19:14)

"and although my eyes were open, they might just as well have been closed!" Procol Harum " A Whiter Shade of Pale"

Who had an excuse, the Nazi’s? I don’t understand how abortion is compared to the Holocaust…:confused:I know you mean murder, but I feel it is terribly different to compare, am I wrong?

I saw the movie, too. Liked it, but didn’t cry.

The abortion crime is like any holocaust in that a group of innocent people are devalued by society, thought of as less than human, and killed. And there is the eugenics aspect that’s so similar to Nazi thinking - it’s better for everyone if you kill the imperfect.

Forcing Jews and others in small buildings, then shutting the light off while they screamed to death, then burning them alive is not the same as an abortion when the woman is 2-3 weeks along. It isn’t even a fetus yet. Come on people, making lampshades out of people’s skin does NOT compare to abortion. I don’t care what you say. And to say you weren’t moved by the whole ordeal in the movie shows me something about yourself.

And there is abortion by salination where the fetus is burnt alive! BOTH are abominations!

In the 1970s and ’80s the most common type was saline amniocentesis, or salt poisoning abortions.
These are not used much anymore because of danger to the mother. These are done after the 16th week. A large needle is inserted through the abdominal wall of the mother and into the baby’s amniotic sac. A concentrated salt solution is injected into the amniotic fluid. The baby breathes and swallows it, is poisoned, struggles, and sometimes convulses. It takes over an hour to kill the baby. When successful, the mother goes into labor about one day later and delivers a dead baby.

Is it actually poisoning?
Yes. The mechanism of death is acute hypernatremia or acute salt poisoning, with development of wide-spread vasodilatation, edema, congestion, hemorrhage, shock, and death. Having an abortion at 2-3 weeks along, or 12 weeks along, or 6 months along. Does this compare in your mind the difference between killing a newborn, 12 week old or 6 months or 6 years…is there a difference???

And while the Germans put 12 million worth of people through the gaz chambers (not only Jew, but it is only them that we concentrate on ususally) , there were piles of dead bodies, piles of shoes, piles of clothes, piles of jewerly, piles of suitacses, etc. They made soap from their body tissue, etc etc etc

And what is the difference between piles of this and piles of at the least 5,000,000 living embryos, fetuses, at different stages of pregnanacy? Can you see them now? Can you see the blood dripping from this pile. And 5,000,000 is a conservative number. We are not including chemical abortifants (the pills, etc).

Mother Theresa called these abortions a holocaust…no different than what Hitler did (he wasn’t the worst), Stalin, Lenin, etc. And I agree with her…

I’m moved by “the whole ordeal” of the reality of all holocausts. I liked the movie, but the ending was just OK. I’ve seen better movies on that particular holocaust. Besides, that theme (a father’s child is killed by the immoral thing he has created) has been done before–and done better.

If you were really touched by it that’s good. 🙂

Ok, I guess that’s just how you feel.🙂

It seriously think you are overreacting. You are trying to justify abortion with the six million Jews who were murdered at Auswitch. Sorry, but I just don’t agree with you. Abortion is wrong and murder, but the way these people have been tortured is far different.

The holocaust was an abomination. Abortion is an abomination.

Scientists have proven that the baby feels pain.

Abortion is murder and the horror of it must not be minimised. It is not “far different.”

This is the human destruction of a suction abortion done at 8 weeks, too early for anyone to tell that the mother was pregnant. There was no outward evidence that this child existed, and yet he was killed as surely as the victims of all holocausts were killed.

What if this child were wearing striped pajamas when he was killed?

I understand and I agree. Do you think a 2 week old sac that isnt even a baby, nor is it completely formed is the same as having an adult skinned alive and made out of lampshades, not to mention being led in the dark to a room naked and then burned alive? Come on here…🤷

Wow, this sounds a lot like the pro-choice folks’ argument for first-term abortions. 😦

I know you don’t mean this OTCA.

You are thinking with your human mind. :o

The abomination before God is not the means by which you take a life! That’s earthly and temporary. The way we die is a flash in time, sin lasts for eternity.

You cannot compare the way one person is murdered with another. What’s the difference in being skinned alive for being a Christian or shot? Nothing. The thing that matters is you died a Christian.

Being stripped naked and burned alive is horrible to you and I, but we don’t know what a baby’s soul endures when it is murdered.

These are assumptions based on human mortality, not sin or eternity.

God Bless,

HC

Hi hc,
I am against abortion, but I do not get involved with it. I do not overreact about it, nor would I hold signs for it. what I do know is I cant fathom anyone here who would compare an adult or child (Older than 1), who get their eyes cut out, who are burned alive, who sees their children die, shot to death before them, the minds that were tortured alone were despicable in the holocaust. I guess I cannot compare that to a 3 day old mass of whatever, (not a fetus yet as doctor’s have already proven), to these Jews who were mutilated. Are there any Jews here who feel like I feel?

I actually feel the same way you do. I mean, when you describe these things they sound too horrible to be true. And yet they are.

I’m just saying we have to look past our human ‘feelings’ because they make us weak in that they cloud our judgement. All murder is wrong and I guess it’s so much harder when we can look into the eyes of those that were harmed and see pictures of the aftermath.

Let’s just hope we are never faced with the same things that all those poor souls suffered in the Holocaust. They need our prayers.

It is good that they have you as an advocate. Pray for them that they are with God and perfect in every way and not suffering anymore.

Blessings,

HC

Finally, someone who understands, not someone who constantly needs to debate. I am sure there are many more like you and I here who think the same way, but would never tell us…
