Thanks guys for sharing such tender thoughts about my family and especially about Will. The letter you saw was read out loud at his funeral. It had too much wisdom, so much hope…it breathed inspiration to everyone. It has been placed in their year book, On the web sight of the school board and occupies a small corner in my tower…huddling over all his stuff. We lost a lot on the other tower, but i still am trying to re-group with friends. He shared a lot of his writing, so there is hope.
Someday i hope to write this love story, his discovering the Lord so uniquely…simply his own way. He listened when most would rest.
He also KNEW of Jesus at a very youn age. He flatlined on the table, was brought to a room by Mother Mary. It was a big dirt floored room, with a wall length fire pit, and Jesus was waiting for him leaning on the mantle. He joyously took him in his embrace and told him how much he loved him, then told him that he had a bigger plan for him, that he had to go back now. Do not be afraide, we will see each other again one day.
When we were wondering truth, he knew it, experienced it, and never ever doubted the “inner-voice” of the Lord.
So when he was beyod help some days, choking, inhalers, throwing them…calling out to God. “How can i do this, if i am having the life squeezed out of me? Help me to endure…if this is what you want of me, tell me, and give me strength, my road is getting so hard Lord…please help me!”
In a heap i’d join him crying and rocking him. I would slowly see him regain his strength, eventually go back to school and be so filled with love for what and who he hung out with. His drama teacher, his possy of half a dozen friends, and him…always laughing, so deep and serious about life.
In Canada, this is Thanksgiving day, and is why it was a hard weekend for me. I have plenty to be thankful for. Last year was awful, as i struggled with why his loss was something i should feel thankful for. The timeing was not mine yet, and i am comming around. It is simply because, you have allowed me to, and befriended me. Thank you all, this Thanksgiving day!
God bless and keep you. Kiss all your babes tonight, even if they are 6 feet tall!
Always and forever, Wills Ma!
