Rammy - I don’t even know what to say. What a gift from God you had in Will and now with your daughters.
Thanks for sharing a small piece of Will with us. His writing is beautiful - but also is a BIG testimonial to how you raised and loved him.
Thanks Rammy. :blessyou:

Allana, you have once again brought me to tears. This is no way to start Monday morning…or maybe it is exactly the way I should start this new week instead of fretting over all this meaningless stuff.

Each time I read another bit of your story I have to stop in sadness, but also in awe. I am learning so much from you about enduring suffering, but maybe more importantly about reminding myself each day to treasure those precious lives around me.

Your Will continues to reach out and touch the lives of people he never knew. Thank you so much for sharing him, and yourself. You are a true treasure.

Peace and prayers,

Ok that is me standing up in the foreground with my wife laying on the balloon at world youth day right after we were about 4 feet from our Holy Father.
Dang Roy! You are quite the handsome man and your wife looks beautiful! So young looking! Thanks.

PS - Yeah, nice move - I noticed that the pics you posted are way too small for John to manipulate. No way for him to add your head to a borg body. 👍

Thanks guys for sharing such tender thoughts about my family and especially about Will. The letter you saw was read out loud at his funeral. It had too much wisdom, so much hope…it breathed inspiration to everyone. It has been placed in their year book, On the web sight of the school board and occupies a small corner in my tower…huddling over all his stuff. We lost a lot on the other tower, but i still am trying to re-group with friends. He shared a lot of his writing, so there is hope.

Someday i hope to write this love story, his discovering the Lord so uniquely…simply his own way. He listened when most would rest.

He also KNEW of Jesus at a very youn age. He flatlined on the table, was brought to a room by Mother Mary. It was a big dirt floored room, with a wall length fire pit, and Jesus was waiting for him leaning on the mantle. He joyously took him in his embrace and told him how much he loved him, then told him that he had a bigger plan for him, that he had to go back now. Do not be afraide, we will see each other again one day.

When we were wondering truth, he knew it, experienced it, and never ever doubted the “inner-voice” of the Lord.

So when he was beyod help some days, choking, inhalers, throwing them…calling out to God. “How can i do this, if i am having the life squeezed out of me? Help me to endure…if this is what you want of me, tell me, and give me strength, my road is getting so hard Lord…please help me!”

In a heap i’d join him crying and rocking him. I would slowly see him regain his strength, eventually go back to school and be so filled with love for what and who he hung out with. His drama teacher, his possy of half a dozen friends, and him…always laughing, so deep and serious about life.

In Canada, this is Thanksgiving day, and is why it was a hard weekend for me. I have plenty to be thankful for. Last year was awful, as i struggled with why his loss was something i should feel thankful for. The timeing was not mine yet, and i am comming around. It is simply because, you have allowed me to, and befriended me. Thank you all, this Thanksgiving day!
God bless and keep you. Kiss all your babes tonight, even if they are 6 feet tall!

Always and forever, Wills Ma!

Now cracks a knoble heart. Good night, sweet prince
And flights of angels sing the to thy rest…

Ga’ night baby doll, My strong, knoble prince…Mamma loves you!

Lana,
Will wanted to be a teacher, that’s what he wrote…he had taught a lot of people here not to get down on one’s self…just by the example of his writing you posted here.

Yes, you should write a book, and guess what, Will WILL be there with you to write it!

That would be so very awsome. I need to buy shares in Kleenex before i begin though. To cry and use ones sleeve is awful enough, but to know what you are going to write, and not come prepared to clean up the dribble…see!

Someday, soon i hope…

Ram - Will’s letter was so beautiful. It brought tears to my eyes. What a incredible, wise soul.

Here are my photos - me 25 years ago:

Oh my goodness, your middle daughter, i had assumed that it was you as a small girl…she’s the spittin immage of you! Your eyes are in the oldest one though and the baby…what a minx…very happy eyes…indeed!

It is nice to share, and i am glad it has touched some people. I often wonder, for all he tried, if he did. Sometimes a parent can be too close, but i am pretty sure…HE ROCKED!

Ok, i’m done…

I love pictures…more people share, and even a story…we need the support for eachother…really!

Allana

Sure;

I love this Holy Father and have prayed for him as a person for 3 or 4 years now. Pope Benedict XVI is a huge man in a very small body. We were inches from the barrier we had a clear view where the Pope was getting ready to walk up to start the World Youth Day in Köln. As the Pope got off the boat the inches between us and where the Pope was going to be walking up was filled with a sea of people. It was awesome all the hundreds of thousands of people all there to celebrate Vicar of Christ. I was awed by all the people and strength of the Catholic Christian Faith.

What we saw was mostly just the top of his head. I recommend that our next Pope should be at least 6’ 6”

You can see some pictures of our trip at our site wyd-saintjosephs.com it does include our time we were stuck in London by the work stoppage…

Oh Rammy, you aren’t the only one that needs to buy that stock in Kleenex, you got me going again :crying: Will’s soul was so old for his young years. Such wisdom in that man/child. You must have been such a wonderful Mother for him to have learned all of that in such a short time, with all the sufferings he endured, he sounds like a Saint!!

They were one and the same…we often chuckled over their resemblance.

I lost track of this thread, glad to see someone resurrected it (and moved it here from the Water Cooler). Here is a picture of my now 4 month old baby girl that people have been asking about.
