I start with our Knights Templars—

The Knights Templars newadvent.org/cathen/14493a.htm

It seems according to the above source the Knights Templars had indeed a very humble beginning. For those that wish to research beyond their Humble beginning go to the web page above and beyond it.
However the question put to us on this forum is - I think; “Was there a call to jihad by Jesus (“Did Jesus call us to war or battle all of those that were not Christian”) — (The call to ‘jihad’ by Prophet Jesus)
I see in scripture where Jesus asked us to follow him and by this all men would know we were his disciples. I have seen in scripture where I believe he asked us to turn the other cheek. I believe we were told he (Jesus) was the new covenant – however it did not replace the Ten Commandments.

It is my hope to encourage those of the Islam faith to look at the differences between The Islam faith & Christianity faiths as a first step. From there begin to compare the Catechism of the Catholic Church to what is asked of you by the Islam faith. Both in fact do expect much from us. However looking to the common sense as to how one should treat another is extremely different.

It seems to me that only the people of the world should decide their religion through reasoning of their own consciences. When this reasoning of peoples own consciences is not allowed because of a dictator of faith or country, what then my friends?

“We the World” - stood by to long when the Jewish people were being killed, not to mention genocides.

I know what you are saying – What can I do to change the world?

All I can say is look to history both good and bad as to what one person can do!

Thank you for reading my ramble.

There is more to say but there always is!

Maybe I wouldn’t have such a disgusting view of Islam had September 11 not struct so close.
I know the feeling you have. I lost a friend and almost a son-in-law to 911. I see my friends wife from time to time. She of course is healing but misses his warmth and love. I personally miss seeing him with her and his laughter.

My prayers, hopes and dreams are that with the help of Jesus one day may all humans embrace!
