those who believed Jesus was crucified “in appearance” were Gnostics 😉
I Gnow. 😉

If anyone has done even the most basic study of Islam its clear Mohammad either stole, purchased or was taught from the heretical scriptures. One of Mohammed’s verses even has a scriptural lineage that traces to false verses coming from a well known forgery in Italy. Mohammad was basically trying to take advantage of the division extending from the Arian heresy to recruit insincere Christians who only paid lip service to the faith (e.g. to gain, live and prosper economically from the blessings that came from peaceful trade in Christian regions without true conviction). That’s why he also included fragments of Jewish scripture since he wanted to recruit the Jews controlling Mecca and Medina into his invented religion. It’s clear that it was a human constructed religion that he invented as he went along to form a “club” of pirates bent on victimizing anyone who was not “in the club”. Essentially Islam is little more than a pirates code with an embedded moral teaching stolen from Christianity to keep the thieves from killing each other. It all fell apart when Mohammad died and the thieves fought among themselves as to who was to be the new leader. Hence the Shia and Sunni divisions that we have to this day. In the end there is never any honor among thieves and unless they all come to the truth of Christianity they will eventually kill themselves and a lot of other innocent people. It’s so easy to see how its going to all blow up some day soon.

This most definitely looks like a cross to me
it’s top looks like a cross, but it is called a sword because you kill by a sword, not by a cross; does not need to much intelligence to know this, does it?

besides, there are swords that do not look like crosses. Is this too difficult to know about as well?

it’s top looks like a cross, but it is called a sword because you kill by a sword, not by a cross
By the same token, while it’s top may look like a cross, but it is called a crucifix because you crucify by using a crucifix, not by a cross.

Matthew 10
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 And he that taketh not his cross
, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it

This is what a ‘cross’ in the above passage looks like:

Where do Christians get the idea that it means crucifix instead?

And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.Matthew 10:38

Looking at the context of the passage, the ‘cross’ in this verse obviously means the ‘cross of the sword’ and it just does not much sense at all for it to mean ‘crucifix’.
What is the punishment for a Moslem who converts to Christianity?

Oh now i understand. Jesus must have been advocating the use of the sword in the middle only thats why He said “cross” ! other swords are not good enough to slaughter… how did i miss this

Is it just me or is anyone else disturbed with the child and park setting in the background of this picture?

Was this taken in a playground Hamba?

It is in fact death - in a terrible way. But they are saved by God if they do and enter into God’s full grace and the joy of paradise (but without the 72 virgins). The problem with Islam is the fundamentalism does not let them imagine anything beyond the limited human carnal pleasures that Mohammad used to entice followers to imagine that God will give us things much more joyful, happy and pleasant in paradise than mere food, sex, power, wealth etc. Islam was made and invented by Mohammad to recruit people and militants who were focused on the pleasures of the world and motivated by same. God brought Christianity to invite us to become as His children and have unimaginable joy and happiness that transcends the mere limitations of human being or senses.

Oh, come on, please don’t get me started on the punishment for apostasy as written in the Bible.
You cant even get Jesus right. What makes you think youre capable of interpreting the old testament?

This thread is a serious blow to your credability, my friend. 🙂

To tell the truth, I have absolutely no idea where the photo was taken.

All I know is that it comes from a Flickr public gallery.

the Bible is Old Law and New Law. We are Christians, not Jews. So go agead please and quote to us the New Law about apostacy. Please do not bother with the Old Law because we ain’t Jews.

OK then, let’s talk about apostasy ‘as practiced’ by Muslim’s and Christian’s.

Let’s get right to the core of things. Forget what’s written!

I Corinthians 1:18, “For the preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved, it is the power of God.”

Galatians 6:14, “But God forbid that I should glory, save in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.”

So Hamba, does the word cross here mean sword as well? should we glory in the sword of our Lord Jesus Christ?

One cannot insist on arguing over a subject when one is not even qualified to participate in it. You cannot join in a race in which you do not even know the premises and regulations of the race. Doing so only makes a mockery of yourself.

The man muhammad fails to qualify as a prophet under all decent standards.

If having sex with little girls who are biologically underaged does not make one a pedophile, nor does killing make one a murderer, nor does forcing sex on someone else, rape. Then there’s neither sense nor logical basis to pursue this discussion further. And calling that person a prophet is a sign to everyone else of the presence of lunacy.

You have failed, humbug.

We can’t really blame the Muslims for being so paranoid about seeing the cross in everything in life. They try to escape but its impossible. It’s every where. They have tried bending their swords in the shape of scimitars; they go out of their way to not permit roads to come together in straight lines at intersections to form right angles that look like a cross, they prevent any window from having a rectangular or square window pain with frame that looks like a cross; they can’t permit square hallways in their homes that form intersections with other halls to form a cross etc.

I even know of a case where the Saudi Arabians spend many millions of dollars to destroy billions in new currency note designs years ago when somone forgot to remove the cross from the window pane in the picture of a mosque placed on the currency. They are that paranoid of all symbols of truth and the cross. They can’t escape it yet they irrationally persist in disavowing the truth.

Can anyone imagine how terrified a Muslim is going to be when Christ comes the final time to slay God’s enemies and His cross flashes across the sky for all to see? I suspect some will finally get the message that there is no escaping God and Jesus as his son but how many will choose to follow the false teaching of Mohammad down to hell for eternity?

Does anyone know if its a sin to pity anyone who chooses to be God’s enemy and mocks Christ’s divinity? Or can we take some solace in knowing that many Islamics get the benefit of insanity at the final judgement that makes it impossible for them to commit a mortal sin without the presence of free will and conscience choice?
