Ok… I won’t just use part of a verse like you did. Here’s a whole listing of verses…why don’t you back up a few verses and see that Peter is talking about water.- H2O
Mat 3:11
I indeed baptize you with water UNTO repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and [with] fire:
Luk 3:16 John answered, saying unto [them] all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
Luk 3:3 And he came into all the country about Jordan, PREACHING the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;
Mar 1:4 John did baptize in the wilderness, AND preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
Act 1:22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.
Act 10:37 That word, *, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John PREACHED;
Act 13:24 When John had first PREACHED before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.
Act 18:25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
Act 19:3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.
Act 19:4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should BELIEVE ON HIM which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
Act 19:5
When they heard [this], they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus
Act 19:6
And when Paul had laid [his] hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
Act 19:7
And all the men were about twelve.
(Remember, Paul said in 1Cr 1:17, "For Christ sent me NOT TO baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.)
1Pe 3:21
The like figure whereunto [even] baptism doth also NOW save us (NOT the putting away of the filth of the flesh (water baptism), but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
1Cr 1:18
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
Mar 16:15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:16
He that BELIEVETH and is baptized (refers to the baptism of the Holy Ghost) shall be saved; but he that BELIEVETH NOT shall be damned.
Mar 3:29
But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
You are baptized with the Holy Ghost when you BELIEVE that Jesus is the Son of God who died on the cross for ALL of your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead by the power of God. The only way to be covered by the blood is to BELIEVE and that is the gift. Remember, the wages for sin is death, and Jesus paid our debt in full with His blood.
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:*
