Actually, several other posters have made multiple valid ‘points’ that you have repeated chosen to simply ignore. No one has been ‘nasty’ to you - actually, if you take your ego out of your posts and just read what has been written, you may see what so many have been repeatedly telling you: respond to questions that have been asked of you, document your statements and just stop whining. ‘Nasty’? I hope you never receive any worse.You make a valid point and I will have to concider it, that Jesus told them(the Jews) to follow the men in the seats of Moses. This is a far cry from the RCC being the church started by God in Isreal, unless you believe in the falsely taught replacement theory.
Did you have anything else to say or was this just all about being nasty?
I don’t want you to be hurt by ignoring you, so is there anything I am suppose to respond to in your post? Personally, I see it as anger. Just want to be sure though.Hi, HankZ,
Actually, several other posters have made multiple valid ‘points’ that you have repeated chosen to simply ignore. No one has been ‘nasty’ to you - actually, if you take your ego out of your posts and just read what has been written, you may see what so many have been repeatedly telling you: respond to questions that have been asked of you, document your statements and just stop whining. ‘Nasty’? I hope you never receive any worse.
A previous poster had noted that many would try to respond to your statements and that you would simply ignore their efforts. Numerous posts would be made to encourage your reply and these would simply eat up space - and you would simply fail to respond. I must confess, I found that to be a curious remark - but, the earlier poster certainly proved to be a most insightful individual.
It is my opinion that based on your lack of response, lack of documentation and obvious lack of candor, further communication efforts are simply a waste of time… at least my time. While I am confident you must have enjoyed this activity, be advised there are two types of ignorance: invincible and vincible.
Invincible ignorance is when you have no way to know the answer, while vincible ignorance is when you simply choose to stop looking for the answer - or simply ignore it, for whatever reason. The posters on this list have freely shared their time and talent and information. There is no reason for you not to know what has been told to you repeatedly. There really is a penalty for this culpable or blame-worthy ignorance. In my opinion, you have chosen your own path.
God bless
The verses;You may want to put the verses you want to discuss where we can see them too.
huh?so you beleive that baptism is regenerational as St. Paul says earlier?..Paul is saying we should speak confidently about salvation so that those who believe might do good deeds.
Not at all.huh?so you beleive that baptism is regenerational as St. Paul says earlier?..
no St. Paul is insisting that those who believe in God excel in good works…
I thought I answered this.The verses;
The entire verse speaks of being judged as to doing good works or doing nothing… That was the point and what I was asking you about as far as your opinion of the purpose of it if you do not need good works.
Can you explain the purpose of the following if we are not to do good works toward our salvation?
Math CH 25 31 14 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit upon his glorious throne, 32 and all the nations 15 will be assembled before him. And he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34 Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a strange and you welcomed me, 36 naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.’ 37 Then the righteous 16 will answer him and say, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 When did we see you ill or in prison, and visit you?’ 40 And the king will say to them in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’ 41 17 Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you accursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 a stranger and you gave me no welcome, naked and you gave me no clothing, ill and in prison, and you did not care for me.’ 44 18 Then they will answer and say, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or ill or in prison, and not minister to your needs?’ 45 He will answer them, ‘Amen, I say to you, what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for me.’ 46 And these will go off to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
then you truly don’t beleive scripture…St.Paul’s epistle to Titus3:5"…He saved us THROUGH THE BATH OF REGERNERATION…" “and He said to Peter have you not had a bath?”…that baptism is regenerational is indeed scriptural…why do you deny that Jesu spoke the truth in favor of your mistaken thoughts of what He said or St.PaulNot at all.
Ok, you read it then responded;I thought I answered this.
You can only do good deeds if you do your deeds for God. People believe that they can do good deeds on their own. Deeds done apart from Christ are filthy rags. Only true Christians can and do, good deeds. If doing good deeds are so important, why did Jesus tell the thief, today you will be with me in paridise? His good deed was to accept Jesus as His Lord and Savior. He then has completed his good deeds list and was acceptable to go to Heaven on Jesus’ good merit, not his own. From now on, when the Father looks at him, He will not see his sin because the Son gets in His eyes.
Yes, and be very careful to distinguish-it is not believing in God that saves, nor is it believing in Jesus in your head-like believing in George Washington. The devil does that, James tells us. But the believing that produces works that will pass the test of the Bema (judgement) seat of Christ, where “God will judge the motives of men’s hearts”-THAT faith involves true repentance and a RECEIVING of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is total trust in and clinging to Him. Huge difference! That kind of faith produces!That’s a beautiful picture for representing the Holy Spirit…
Absolutely correct here…Yes, and be very careful to distinguish-it is not believing in God that saves, nor is it believing in Jesus in your head-like believing in George Washington. I did answer it. The only good deed you have is accepting the sacrifice of Jesus to pay for your sins. Good deeds are not a tool used in judgement in the contents you are putting it, how could the thief enter without them or being baptized or any of the other “sacraments?” He could not feed poor, clothe the naked, or anyother works, he was nailed to a tree beside our Lord, unable to help himself. This is the perfect position to be in, helpless and in need of our Lord.Ok, you read it then responded;
Good works are a result of salvation, not a means to getting it.
Then I responded;
Does not the verse (by Mathew) describe those things at the end that Jesus will be basing His judgment on and is this not referring to the judgment when He returns which is after His saving sacrifice? …
Then you responded;
Did you catch the part where He said, “Me?”
You can do everything good, but if you don’t do it for God, it is worthless.
Then I responded;
Well of course we do it for God, but it remains we must do the works according to scripture in this case, can you agree with this considering these verses?
The last question we are now on is this that I asked;
Well of course we do it for God, but it remains we must do the works according to scripture in this case, can you agree with this considering these verses?
Baptism of Desire, as Catholics have always maintained ( he had Christ Himself absolve Him!). Although Baptism of Water is the normative means.… how could the thief enter without them or being baptized or any of the other “sacraments?”
I DID say IN CONTEXT. You seem to have left out somethng quite important.I read this several times;
Ephesians 1:4-5;
Just as He CHOSE us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blaimless before Him. In love He PREDESTINED us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, acccording to the kind intention of His will.
Ephesians 1:13;
In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation- having also believed, you were SEALED in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise. 14 Who is given as a PLEDGE OF OUR INHERITANCE, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.
According to the words Paul used, we are; Chosen, predestined, sealed and we are given the Holy Spirit as proof of our inheritance which is in Christ.

All right…I got twb1621’s signoff here, so I should be good to go!Absolutely correct here…
It’s all good stuff! That whole chapter is one grand praise to the sovereign grace of God and his incredible plan to redeem a bunch of sinners He can love on for all eternity and reveal His glory so they can love Him back and worship Him freely. What a scene that will be!I DID say IN CONTEXT. You seem to have left out somethng quite important.
Epesians 1:14
which is the first installment of our inheritance toward redemption as God’s possession to the praise of his glory.
You cant just pick and chose a verse here, a verse there. The Bible is not a collection of individual verses, but a complete work that must be taken together. Predestination, as described here, does not give 100% assurance of salvation, but is only to set us on our journey towards redemption. Nice try. I do respect your sincerity, I really do. But you need to pay attention to the context, or you risk being led astray. Do you have another one?
I’m not very good at working my way around this site…and I have three things going on here in the next couple of hours–family stuff! I’ve been posting off my Blackberry during breaks through the work day.You may want to put the verses you want to discuss where we can see them too.
But you seem to ignore that accepting him is just the first step. After this comes obedienace, and says nothing of “eternal security”It’s all good stuff! That whole chapter is one grand praise to the sovereign grace of God and his incredible plan to redeem a bunch of sinners He can love on for all eternity and reveal His glory so they can love Him back and worship Him freely. What a scene that will be!
ThankyouThat’s a beautiful picture for representing the Holy Spirit…
