I am afraid you are the one that should be embarassed. Your lack of comprehension and your inablility to interpret is astounding to say the least. Are you to embarrassed?
The Hail, Holy Queen: Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy! our life, our sweetness, and **our hope! **To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley, of tears. Turn, then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us; and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus; O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
It is a prayer TO, not THROUGH and there are hundreds more just like it. You can rationalize before men, but what about before God? If you faith is in accordance with God, then you have no issues at all.![]()
Try looking up the word “advocate” in the dictionary. Better yet, I will save you some time.
Advocate–
–noun 2. a person who speaks or writes in support or defense of a person, cause, etc. (usually fol. by of): an advocate of peace.
3. a person who pleads for or in behalf of another; intercessor.
Also, how convienient you left out the rest of the prayer, Pray for us that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ..
You realize that since this is part of the prayer, it shows we are asking her to pray for us. Therefore, we are praying through her in an intercessory manner.
Better luck next time.
