I thought that was common knowledge. He was an athlete: hiker, skiier, and swimmer. He was also an actor and a playwrite.

I’ve know since I was little because my religious ed program had paper dolls. One was of my priest and it had all the different vestments for the liturgical seasons, and they had another of the pope (I personally didn’t have this one) And one of his “outfits” was of him dressed up ready to go out skiing with his skies in the background. 😃

I believe so. But I have not seen them. I did see something on amazon.com that was written by him. I was tempted to purchase it, but we did not have the money. Ahhhhhhhh, holy poverty. We just have to wait.

The jeweller’s shop: A meditation on the sacrament of matrimony, passing on occasion into a drama was published by Ignatius Press in 1992.

It was also made into a film (probably still available on DVD) and starred Burt Lancaster.
