We’ve sure gotten to the point, haven’t we, where we have to settle for every little crumb we can get.At least in his pictures at Mass he’s appropriately vested…
Ah ha! We’ve found common ground, Kirk! Please. No forty-one year old man, priest or not, should be appearing in public looking like that. It’s absurd and juvenile. My 16 year old nephew has a better sense of propriety than this person.
Told ya, Doc, I’m a rabid traditionalist!Ah ha! We’ve found common ground, Kirk!
See, I knew you weren’t totally hopeless.![]()
Yeah, I listened to about 5 minutes of it before I had to turn it off in frustration. It was atrocious!OK, so have any of you taken the time to listen to one of the Masses on his website? I just listened to part of one right now and he sings the entire consecration…that’s right, not chants, but sings it in a way that makes it sound like some solo from a Broadway musical…with piano accompaniment!!!I think I might have burst a blood vessel in my neck listening to that…truly disgusting!
At my parish we have an Orthodox priest!Hopefully, in the 00’s it’s the orthodox Priest, such as in my parish.
I knew I was in trouble when the processional, er, gathering hymn sounded like “The Lonely Bull” by Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass.OK, so have any of you taken the time to listen to one of the Masses on his website? This man is the handmaid of Satan … I am sure he wins for souls for him in a minute than any pimp, drug lord or prostituite could do in a year.
This may be true, but at least he dresses and acts like somebody his age! By the way, if what you say is true, then it confirms something a priest I knew always used to say when teasing feminists: “If you say that God could be a woman, then why can’t we call Satan the Princess of Darkness?”This man is the handmaid of Satan … I am sure he wins for souls for him in a minute than any pimp, drug lord or prostituite could do in a year.
In an age of Internet predators, loading a website with pictures of (apparently) adolescent kids (mostly girls) with identifying information (starting with this priest’s diocese and parish) seems like a rip-roaringly bad idea.I don’t have a problem with the fact that he has a Myspace page, but rather, with the content.
If your not familiar with myspace you may not realize the the priest has no control over the pictures of that those who leave messages post. He doesn’t put them there -they do.In an age of Internet predators, loading a website with pictures of (apparently) adolescent kids (mostly girls) with identifying information (starting with this priest’s diocese and parish) seems like a rip-roaringly bad idea.
In this day of priestly scandals, it is unwise for any priest to have a page on myspace. These girls are probably just innocent parishioners who like their pastor, but this is a completely inappropriate way for them to express it. How many children have been victimized by perverts trolling sites like this, where teenagers often post the most intimate details about themselves? No priest should ever use this kind of site, or encourage his young parishioners to do it either, because of the dangers it exposes them to.If your not familiar with myspace you may not realize the the priest has no control over the pictures of that those who leave messages post. Maybe not; but does it follow that everything a man with a calling does is in conformity with that calling?God is obviously not as picky in calling people as we seem to be.
