Let me put it like this:If we surmise that people in positions of greater influence have more responsibility to live a moral life, then we’d also be saying that people with less influence have more leniency to not live a moral life.
We all have to live a moral life, regardless of power or influence.
I’m the oldest of 6 children. Being the oldest has some inherent characteristics that go with it usually. Growing up, if I ran out in the street to play, two or three others ran out in the street to play following behind me. If I did something dangerous, two or three younger ones would be right there to do it as well. If I do something immoral as if it is right, 5 others are watching me and apt to be convinced that it is right. My decisions not only affect me, but many others as well.
I would look at it as we all have equal responsibility to ourselves and to protect our own souls to lead moral lives. We have different responsibilities with relation to what God expects from us in relation to others.
