I don’t feel insulted in the least by Kendra. I do, however, find it insulting to victims of abuse to liken their trauma to petty crimes and teenage shenanigans.

Include myself in everybody being insulted? Uhhh, I’m not insulted so there’s at least 2 on the thread not insulted. Why would I include myself being insulted by something I said? Does anyone get insulted by things they said? I’m sure people wish they hadn’t said them, but feel insulted? I don’t think so.

I have, and what I heard many of them say was that he was very wrong/immoral for doing what he did, however, he was also very young at the time of the offense.
If she’s insulted, she needs to take a chill pill. I don’t understand why anyone would be insulted by something that won’t happen. I’m not paying for hundreds of evals.
Again, what’s genuinely insulting are the comparisons between sexual abuse and buying beer or vandalism or being a “thug” or… I’m far less concerned with people here feeling icky about how others respond and far more concerned with abuse victims whose trauma is being minimized and dismissed through such analogies.
Sorry, but read them again. Likening sexual violation of a sibling to --as I’ve said multiple times now – vandalism, buying beer, two adults having an affair, etc. is present here. And each of these comparisons is a wildly inappropriate minimizing of sexual abuse.
