Which Eucharistic prayer are you referring to? There are 13.During Mass when the priest recites the Eucharist prayer what two sentences speaks to your heart? I would like to know from your guys I would like your say on this. Thank you for your time.
Since you a e in RCIA and you keep saying “Eucharist prayer” rather an Eucharistic prayer, I’m going to go out on a limb and suggest that maybe the Eucharistic prayer is not what they are asking about. As Thistle pointed out, there are several, and not may cradle Catholics would handle that broad question very well.I had no idea there was 13 all I know its the one the priest recites in mass.
Or probably Eucharistic Prayer II, which is the most commonly used one these days. Even on Sundays when it shouldn’t.Since you a e in RCIA and you keep saying “Eucharist prayer” rather an Eucharistic prayer, I’m going to go out on a limb and suggest that maybe the Eucharistic prayer is not what they are asking about. I’m thinking they are talking about this:
Preparation for Communion:
Priest: *Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who takes away the sins of the world.
Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb. *
My thinking (and I’m just guessing here) is that they would like to hear you express how profoundly those words have an impact on you, when realizing you are the int he Presence of the Lamb of God., Jesus Christ Himself, Body, Blod, soul, and Divinity.
How do you feel? Tell them about that.
Quite possibly.Or probably Eucharistic Prayer II, which is the most commonly used one these days. Even on Sundays when it shouldn’t.
The OP’s questions do sound a bit like stuff lifted from a workbook. Makes me wonder…Quite possibly.
We do a dismissal for the breaking open of the Word though…so it’s still a puzzle.

It might be more helpful to her if she answered the question for herself, and some people could comment, or elaborate. If it is homework, it’s kind of a misrepresentation. I know all of us are more than willing to help in any way we can. I would really like to hear her viewpointThe OP’s questions do sound a bit like stuff lifted from a workbook. Makes me wonder…
I would go with that minus the narrative. The most two important lines
I seem to remember those lines having some degree of importance.
- “On the night before he was betrayed he took bread and when he had given thanks broke it and gave it to his disciples saying “Take, eat, this is my body which is given for you.””
- “In a similar way after supper he took the cup and once more giving thanks gave it to his disciples saying “Take this all of you and drink of it for this is my blood of the new covenant which will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this in memory of me.””

I seriously doubt that this catechumen/candidate is studying in Latin.I would go with that minus the narrative.
HOC EST ENIM CORPUS MEUM
HIC EST ENIM CALIX SANGUINIS MEI,
NOVI ET ÆTERNI TESTAMENTI:
MYSTERIUM FIDEI: QUI PRO VOBIS ET PRO MULTIS
EFFUNDETUR IN REMISSIONEM PECCATORUM.
Thanks for the chuckle, pianistclare!I seriously doubt that this catechumen/candidate is studying in Latin.
She have not given any indication of such.
I posted it partly because it’s about the only thing you hear at an EF. No need to take four years of Latin to realize its importance. I believe I answered her question. She didn’t say what language.I seriously doubt that this catechumen/candidate is studying in Latin.
She have not given any indication of such.
