I don’t understand why John 6 continues to be used as justification for real presence since it was not even the last supper.
So was Jesus Holding a communion service when he fed the 5000 with the bread he got from the few loaves?
Seems odd that Jesus would compare the bread they just ate (which was produced by a miracle from Jesus) to Himself (and then later on reveal it to be something else that looked like bread.).
26 Jesus answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. 27 Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”
Did Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross happen at the last supper as well.
Seems odd that the writer of Hebrews compares a daily sacrifice to Christ’s one sacrifice and yet (make it appear like this sacrifice happens daily?).
It’s like saying daily sacrifices can never take away sin, but this one can. So let’s have this one sacrifice daily. Doesn’t even make sense.
Hebrews 10
11 And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
