Loving God,

We lift up prayer two members of our parish family who died this week - Dick J. and Jean M. We ask for your mercy, blessings, and comfort for them in this time of transition, and strength and courage for the family members and loved ones in both families. We have faith and believe that our dear Lord Jesus has met them and brought them to that special place in your house that has been prepared just for them, as we learn from the Gospel of John. Thank you for your blessings and your love for these servants of yours and for their families.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your people.

Amen.

Praying for Mom and Lois,

We keep you in our hearts.

Incline Thine ear, O Lord to our prayer, in which we humbly entreat Thy mercy; bring to the country of peace and light the soul of Thy servants which Thou hast summoned to go forth from this world and bid them to be numbered with Thy saints.
Through Christ Our Lord, Amen

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee;
blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen

For my dear brother Gary, who died on my birthday recently, just before he was to come visit us after not seeing each other in 13 year’s. I am grateful to God that he received last rites the day before he passed from a quick illness.

A Prayer for the Forgotten Dead

O merciful God,
take pity on those souls
who have no particular friends and intercessors
to recommend them to Thee; and who,
either through the negligence of those who are alive,
or through length of time, are forgotten
by their friends and by all.

Spare them, O Lord,
and remember Thine own Mercy,
when others forget to appeal to it.
Let not the souls which Thou hast created
be parted from Thee, their Creator.

May the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Amen.
