Adding this bit: I pray as well for my friend’s father, and for the soul of the priest who died the day I attended my first TLM. May the Lord grant their souls perpetual light and peace in His Kingdom. Amen!
 
Loving God,

We lift up in prayer a member of our parish community who died suddenly last week, J.R., and for his family members. We pray for the repose of the soul for J.R. and for the comforting hand of Jesus to be with J.R.'s wife and children during this difficult time. We hope and pray that our Lord Jesus has met J.R. and brought him to that special place that has been prepared just for him in Heaven.

Amen.

Prayer for Mercy on the Souls in Purgatory

My Jesus, by the sorrows Thou didst suffer in Thine agony in the Garden, in Thy scourging and crowning with thorns, in the way to Calvary, in Thy crucifixion and death, have mercy on the souls in purgatory, and especially on those that are most forsaken; do Thou deliver them from the dire torments they endure; call them and admit them to Thy most sweet embrace in paradise.

Please pray for a dearly beloved friend and mentor, Sr. E, who died recently. I will miss her terribly. RIP
