For my Grandfather (“JJ”) who made sure to take me to Mass every Sunday, whether I wanted to or not. Who made sure that I respected God, all of God’s creations, and helped to teach me to see God in everything and everyone around me. I did not know it or could see it then, but he planted a seed that lead me to my amazing Catholic wife, my marvelous child, and my wonderful faith filled life. My JJ never met my wife or held my child, but I know he would be happy. My parents are great, but it was my JJ that stood as the steadfast Catholic. Thank you JJ. I pray that God welcomed you heaven with open arms. I will continue praying in case you are in purgatory. I love you and miss you.

Hi, JB2VI.

I was effectively raised by my grandparents, and may God rest their souls. When I look back and remember all of those incredible acts of love - like taking me to Sunday Mass even when I did not want to go - it just fills my heart with more love. Of course, there was a lot going on that I don’t remember now - or never knew about - but, the good news is that I can do things for my grandkids.

You and your family will be in our prayers. Losses like this find real help on this list. We all know the sorrow of death and the ache it leaves behind.

God bless.

After many and I do mean many years of faithful service, the secretary for our diaconate program for the archdiocese retired this last January. Her Husband died of a heart attack and was buried yesterday. Please keep both of them in your prayers.

These intentions will be in my prayers.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, so that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen

I will keep them in my prayers as well. May God bless and comfort your former secretary, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

This post is for my grandpa who passed away on Saturday the 19th of July 2008. He was very dedicated to God and prayed the Divine Office EVERY day until he was unable to, which has always been very inspirational to me.
God bless

This was a beautiful dedication.

The aborted child is of concern because for many people the guilt of the loss never seems to leave - not only for the ‘elective’ abortions, but also for the natural miscarriages. My eldest daughter had two miscarriages and still mourns these losses.

Your intentins will be in our prayers.

Dear Lupe Soto:

May Our Blessed Mother comfort you in your many losses. While these souls are surely in God’s Loving Hands, there not being here on earth is a cause for sadness. Our prayers are with you as you continue to bear this cross.

God bless.
