An excellent summary of the autocrats.
This shirking of scientific advice speaks to a misguided sense of invincibility often seen in autocratic leaders, according to the University of Amsterdam’s Alessandro Nai, who has co-authored a study on the personality traits of strongmen.

“Strongmen tend to couple high confidence in themselves with impulsivity, with a disregard for the consequences of their actions. This seems to set up a persona of the ‘invincible and fearless leader’ that can solve issues by sheer willpower,” he said.

I’m finding it interesting that whenever Trump says anything, people hate it, and now that he’s staying quiet, they hate that too and are complaining that he isn’t saying anything. When he does say something, they will no doubt hate whatever he said. . . .

Is this on topic?
The article in the OP does not seem to criticize Trump for staying quiet, but for his words and conduct in handling addressing the pandemic. In fact, what is it that Trump has been quiet about?
they will no doubt
Fascinating.
Haters gonna hate.
Who, exactly, are you accusing of the sin of hate?
the concept of a pandemic being a “moment of glory” for anyone.
This s not a matter of fact, but of opinion. But history is full of people whose moments of “glory” occurred as they responded to calamity.

and apologists are going to defend.

I don’t think its “hate” to be appalled by words like “when the looting starts, the shooting starts”, or the stillness from statements to the nation on important issues from the Oval Office being replaced by late night rants on twitter.

He called for his MAGA FOLLOWERS to come where other protesters were last night. Is that quiet?

It depends on WHAT he says. If he would admit that he was wrong, and apologize for it, it would be a nice change, and people would not “hate” him for it… (well, the MAGA people might). Of course a “very stable genius” would never do it.

This is the essence of the entire allegation of hatred against him…he, in many ways, is his own worst enemy because of lack of humility.

apologists are going to defend.
Im not a Trump “apologist”. I dont like him, just like I didnt like Obama (although for completely different reasons as they are completely different people).

But I defended Obama from ridiculous atracks from the rabid right, and I defend Trump from the ridiculous attacks from the rabid left.

Let me repeat: what is factually incorrect in the article? Is this article an example of a “rabid left”?

The whole article is very thin on facts, heavy on opinion which is, generally, "Orange Man Bad "

So you are unable to present factual errors in the article. Could have just said: “No, I cannot point out factual errors”.

That’s kind of like asking if you have stopped beating your wife.

Did I find factual errors? No.

Did I find facts? Not many.

Just a typical “Orange Man Bad” opinion piece from CNN.

Loses its impact after using about 30 times…just saying!
I was about to google its meaning, pondering oranges at half time, an Irish troubles reference, or something else

About

Orange Man Bad is a parody expression used to mock critics of President Donald Trump. The phrase has frequently been associated with NPC Wojak to depict the character as a person programmed with simple slogans to oppose the Trump presidency. Out of the NPC context, it is often used on right-leaning Reddit communities or on 4chan.

Origin

The earliest known usage of the phrase “Orange Man Bad” comes from a general Trump thread on 4chan’s [6] /pol/ board on October 20th, 2016.They wrote, “RUNNING ORANGE MAN BAD GRABBING GREEN GIRL GOOD” (shown below).

Thankyou CAF for inspiring me to educate myself on popular expressions. btw hasnt 4 Chan closed down
