The first Catholic women priests were ordained today?

The ordaining “bishop” stated in the video clip that “Jesus did NOT ordain anyone…”…no, I guess she’s right. He just chose 12 people to come follow him that just all coincidentally happened to be men. I suppose she means to say that all of Salvation history was all a coincidence. May the Lord have mercy on us all.
 
they are not even the first women to attempt this travesty, groups of militant formerly-known-as-Catholic women have been staging thses stunts since at least the early 80s. the ex-wife of a former Ohio governor was one of the pioneers of the perimenopausal crisis bunch. Saw videos of that one, and they resembled nothing so much as the club ladies in “one Grecian urn” in the Music Man.
 
Awwwwwww–you mean it’s not valid? That is, I just baptized my dog in the creek–you mean to say she’s not Catholic now? dang, you guys.

(By the way, some wacko women have several times gone out on a boat in some river – so as to avoid being in any particular diocesan jurisdiction – and undergone “ordination” before. Yep, the grecian urn ladies…)
 
A woman claiming to be a Catholic priest is comprable to a man castrating himself and calling himself a woman. It is ridiculous. The Archbishop has “threatened” excommunication? I am surprised that he hasn’t already excommunicated them.

Archbishop Burke informed them that if they went through with this they would be automatically excommunicated. They went through with it, so they are now anathema- separated from the Church and from God, for all eternity should they not repent of their sin.

All of this is predicted by Christ. The persecutions, the charlatans, false prophets, and always the apostasy( see the most recent outrages by several British bishops in practicing Catholicism in the 'British way") of pretend believers.

The media will always champion anything that appears to threaten Church dogma. Reading Church history for the nearly 2000 years of its existence, even these assaults amount to nothing. Scripture will be fulfilled; the Church will founder but not fail. History has shown this time and again.

Be firm.

He didn’t have to do it. They did it th themselves.
 
Anyone ever notice that none of the women that have been ‘ordained’ by this dissenting organization are very young. It’s like watching reruns of the Golden Girls.

Poor, poor ladies.

We did this too! One of the older boys in our neighborhood wanted to become a priest when he grew up, so he and his brothers would put on robes (and to my young eyes at the time, the robes and “vestments” they used looked pretty good!), and set up an “altar” and would practice the words of the consecration. Then we would all line up for “communion” which was Necco wafers. It was always a coup if you got the white Necco wafer!

Back to topic though - I agree with you. These women are no more consecrating the host than my neighbor was in his basement so many years ago.

I think that’s what we’re starting to see with all these ‘liberal’ or ‘Progressive’ Catholics. (Actually, I probably should have put “Catholics” in quotes too in that last sentence). Notice the age of these women? Oh, I’m sorry, they’re probably the types that insist that it be spelled ‘womyn’. Those of their kind are on their last legs. Soon they will be swept away and forgotten.

They will be, as the poem says “unwept, unhonored and unsung.”

At least children know when they are pretending. Do you think these woman might have some dementia and they don’t realized that they have reverted back to pretend play? Maybe we should send some 6 y/os to straighten them out. I bet any 6 y/o who has been to Mass on a regular basis knows that these women aren’t priests.

Come on… what part of you can’t celebrate mass in a Catholic Church makes them think this is real? Hehehehe!!! I would love to see a 6 yr old walk straight up and tell them they aren’t real… if they answer like they would an adult I am sure the parents would have a word or 2 for them!!!

Since my son performed funerals for my daughters barbie dolls, can I say he is a priest too? I would love to have a priest in the family!

Talmundic Judaism is a false religion. It awaits a savior (not Christ) who will never come and idolizes a book that makes the prophets weep (Talmud).
