From the time I’ve been on this board there seems to be an obsession with Islam being here or being there. Maybe 80% of the people in my neighborhood are recent immigrants from Asia, Koreans, Chinese, and people from the Sub-continent of India. Why not the obsession with Hinduism, Confucianism, Buddhism, etc.? If you don’t think adherents, especfially to Hinduism, have a problem with a few violent members, think again.
9/11 was a horrible and dramatic day for sure, but the problems we have with Islam were ripped wide open by our actions that followed, heck we even helped foster the man at the center of the 9/11 attack. We have and continue to give many of those, especially in the middle east, reason to either migrate or to be extremely angry at us. No we have not been a part of all of it, but fretting about end results that you fear or despise without owning our part of it is be quite selective.
