Having just been exonerated by The Vatican and having their records now been cleansed of the slander once held against them, will they now be recognized for their great work by non-Catholic Christians?

No.
Because of the era in which they reigned and the multitude of psuedo history books written about them they will continue to be portayed as a secretive occultic organization with ties to the Freemasons.
Just look at the post above this one.

Go to a bookstore store and ask one of the booksellers to take you to were the Knights Templar books are. More than likely they will take you to the Freemason part of the New Age section instead of the History section.

It’s puts me in a bad mood just thinking about it.

Please refresh me. What is the Church’s beef with Masons/Scottish Rite?

???

Can you direct me to something more specific? Thanks:o
You actually have to go all the way back on this one. Masons from the start have taught that which god doesn’t matter, as long as you have one. In other words, no faith system is inherently better than any other. Now, that is fine for a government to say, but when you start teaching people that their own faith is not of any consequence as there is no advantage to Christianity, that becomes problematic. Another issue is that some Masons, intentionally or not, began to teach that God is totally unimportant to bringing peace on earth. Science and human reason can and will bring utopia to earth. God is the Grand Archetech, but nothing else. Finally, Masons historically have been anti-Catholic. It may not have ever been an actual teaching of the group (hard to prove as they do not show all the stuff to non-Masons). For example, the governement of Mexico last century was heavily Masonic. They made it a point to attack Catholic clergy and religious. Now, they were also socialist, so it is unfair of me not to mention it. In the American South, Masonic lodges have been segregated, though some are slowly changing. Also, again in some parts of America, there is a high correlation between being a Freemason and being in the Klan.

Whilst the templars would never have called themselves free masons and whilst free masons may have started in the 16th century (i dont know)…

From what i do know is that the templars laid the ground works with their beleifs and actions for freemasons…

I mean even the church persecuted the templars, right

How did The Templars “lay the ground works” for The Maons?

The KKK also claimed heritage to The Knights Templar, are they are of the fray too?

If by “laying the ground works” you mean romantic tales of intrigue, than yes.
A good way to spice up the lore of an organization is to add a romantic mythos to it, just like the Cub Scouts with the story of Mogley, the Boy Scouts’ Order of the Arrow with Lenne Lenape lore.

Any ties the Masons make to the Templars is conjecture based on
psueudo history.

Cool picture!

The secret society that was called templars have been going longer than the christian churches.
The priory of zion/Roman Collegia/Comacine masters/French Compagnonage… It goes on.
But the church want nothing to do with them because they have no need for them, religons are built on plenty of blood shed and bully tactics. Use of the templars was just another way of striking fear into the heart of non-believers.
When they realised that more people wanted to be knights more than clergy then the knights had to go… Plus they wanted to know what was found in the temples.
probly more to it but thats it broken down…

As far as the origional question goes, no, I doubt they will get any special recognition. First, as others have pointed out, there is too much tripe out there about them. Second, we live in a historically ignorant society. People do not know the true facts, so they fall for all of the bogus tales, such as those by Dan Brown.

Actually, they haven’t “just been” exonerated by the Vatican. The Vatican exonerated them hundreds of years ago, but letter was misfiled so nobody knew they had been exonerated.

First, the ‘Piory of Zion’, or ‘Prior de Sion’ was a proven to be a hoax. There is no basis in fact of its existence before the 20th century.

Second, the Knights Templar were targeted for destruction because Phillip the Fair, King of France, envied their wealth and power. Not to mention that Phillip owed them a large sum of money.

Nothing more involved than greed and envy. 🤷

‘Piory of Zion’ or other names that dont realy matter if it was a hoax but the society of this subject goes way back…

Can you prove that the Knights Templar were older than Christianity?
Did you read all i wrote or just use the jedi mind trick???
I stated the society they belong to goes back names get changed.
